No Internet Kill Switch
A million Egyptians took to the streets on Tuesday to protest the Mubarak regime and call for democratic reform.The government responded by cutting off Internet access and plunging the nation into digital darkness.Such drastic action is a new way for governments to smother popular movements worldwideWe also have cause for concern at home: to give our President authority to flip the kill switch on our Internet.

Will Obama's FCC Sell Out Net Neutrality?
(1 comments) Tuesday is decision time for Net Neutrality. The Federal Communications Commission is finally voting on rules that could stop companies like Comcast and AT&T from blocking where you go on the Internet.The vote is a test for President Obama and Chairman Julius Genachowski. Will they deliver on earlier promises and pass strong Net Neutrality rules, or will they cave to the phone and cable lobby and give us a fake version?

FRIDAY: Delivery of 50,000 Letters Demanding St. Paul Drop Charges Against Journalists
On Friday morning, local advocates and independent journalists will deliver more that 50,000 petitions to St. Paul City Hall calling on Mayor Chris Coleman and local law enforcement officials to drop all charges against journalists arrested while covering protests outside the Republican National Convention.
