I am a 58 year old caucasian male. I was born in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. I spent 22 years active duty in the Army as a helicopter pilot. I am a Vietnam veteran; a former helicopter ambulance pilot. I have a wife of 37 years and a daughter with three children. After retireing from the Army, I flew as a tuna spotter in the southwest Pacific out of Pago Pago, Samoa and Brisbane, Queensland, Australia for 2 years; then as an oilfield pilot in the Gulf of Mexico. After 14 years and 15,000 hours of flight time as a professional pilot, I am now semi retired and living in a small town in Northwest Florida. I started a 501(c)3 taxfree foundation in honor of my father. It helps disabled National Guard and Reservists who have been wounded and disabled as a result of those wounds incurred while fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan. Knowning what it feels like to be rejected by your fellow citizens by having been a hated soldier after returning from Vietnam where I and my father rescued more than 8,000 wounded, I am now an activist to get our finest young men and women out of harm's way in those theaters of war. I am the chief of staff for a Democratic congressional candidate Jim Bryan and am working to unseat the current religious nutbag neoconservative incumbent.
