One last chance to end this American nightmare; are we up to it?
The upcoming November presidential election will be one of the most important in America's history. While the American electorate was certainly fooled badly in 2000 and 2004, we cannot be fooled again, as it will be disastrous to the future of America. My intent is to do everything in my power to wake up that part of America that still does not seem to understand the critical importance of this election.

The "heroic" candidate and the 55,000 Americans that died in Vietnam
John McCain constantly informs America of his 5-1/2 years as a prisoner in Vietnam. More than 55,000 of our military died in Vietnam. You would think that John McCain could put aside his own pain and give his former comrades credit and respect that they deserve. He doesn't. So, I say to John McCain – please, no more about yourself. There are certainly better things to talk about; I believe we refer to them as issues.

Our Constitution under attack, our democracy eroding; America watches in silence
(17 comments) Over the past 7-1/2 years America has been watching events unfold that threaten our Constitution, as the executive branch of this government proclaims itself a unitary power that is above the laws of the land. The judiciary branch is now no more than a tool of the White House designed to suppress investigative processes. The House and the Senate have completely failed to provide Congressional oversight over this White House.

This pathetic U.S. Congress
(1 comments) Congress has failed America in many ways in recent years but their biggest failure will come if they allow Bush&Co. to pre-emptively attack Iran over their nuclear program. The leaders in Congress hear the drums of war beat louder each day. But so far they are pretending they can't hear them. And so, all of us must do all possible to expose their apparent complicity and demand that they act to prevent any military action
