Obama's American Recovery and Reinvestment Plan This is not the time for the Congress to be playing business as usual. If you have never called or written your representatives in the U.S. House and Senate, now is the time to start. Write, call or email both U.S. Senators for your state and your Representative in U.S. House and tell them this is a very real crisis for the American people and they must support President Obama's "American Recovery and Reinvestment Plan."

For the GOP It's 1933 Déjà vu All Over Again Obama's plans to repair the American economy have drawn comparison to the New Deal reforms and programs of President Franklin D. Roosevelt. Republicans, unable to intellectually accept or unwilling to honestly admit that conservative governance has led to financial calamity twice in a period of 70 years, are signaling that they are as opposed to Obama's "New Deal" legislation as their conservative forefathers were to FDR's.

State Governors Worry about Alaska Oil Field Shutdown During the weekend's summer meeting of the National Governors Association the governors worried about economic damage from the Alaska oil field shutdown and complained about years of energy policy neglect by our U.S. Congress. It's too bad Missouri's Governor Matt Blunt, a very conservative Republican, did talk up a new renewable oil production technology that is already pumping out oil in his own back yard!

H1-B Visa Foreign IT Workers and the Immigration Bill Why would parents encourage their children to take extra math and science in high school and then risk taking massive loans to send them to college for a technical degree when it looks like the corporate and government systems are rigged against them getting a technology job upon graduation? Where is the ROI in that?
