Alternatives for global organization in the new century This paper was presented at the eighth World Public Forum Dialogue of Civilizations, held in the island of Rhodes, Greece, from the 7th to the 11th of October 2010. It looks at major problems confronting mankind today and reviews the various solutions that are being tried or advocated. It breaks the alternative strategies in three kinds: modernist, archaicist and archeo-futuristic and proposes the third as our age's synthesis.
