And I'm definitely not kidding when I say the only differences between zombies and devotees of Rush Limbaugh and FoxNews are diet and hygiene.

Nowhere Near the Road to Damascus Republicans do horrible things and Democrats let them get away with it. That's the story. That's the story in 1982, 1992, 2002, 2012, and this morning's headline. Lately, the headline's changed a little. Republicans do horrible things and Democrats do too.

Barack Obama or Mitt Romney ... and a host of Democratic or Republican members of the House and Senate. Regardless of who wins or loses ... the U.S. will remain a relatively easygoing fascistic police state at home and a voracious capitalistic beast stomping fictitious enemies into a bloody paste abroad.

We Are Already Where We Were Afraid We Would Be The majority of our elected representatives don't represent us. And it will remain that way as long as private money fuels public elections. Which means it will be like this forever. Campaign reform can only happen if the majority of our elected representatives vote to stop taking money from the private interests that elect them.

Everything They Tell You Is A Lie I know people who have gone to schools and received advanced degrees and haven't learned The Dominant Culture, in which they gladly serve, is a death cult of monumental proportions. Hooray! We Won Something ... Maybe Unlike other industrialized nations, the United States health-care system is centered-around for-profit insurance companies. Selling "insurance" so people can have access to health care is a money making opportunity. Withholding treatment for sickness and pain is a money making opportunity.

Designed To Fail Without accountability there can be no justice. It's as simple as that. It doesn't make any difference who we vote for. It doesn't matter if we are progressives, conservatives, or commies. If there is no accountability built into the system " tweaking this or adjusting that is completely useless.

Beasts Lurking in the Shadows It's too late to contact your elected representatives to tell them to vote against HR 347. That ship has sailed. I guess you could email Obama and ask him to veto a bill that overwhelmingly passed in both Houses. As we trundle down the path to the tar pits, and wait in line to sink beneath the goop ... we've got to endure fascistic vicious beasts that rise up in our way ... and bite and bite and bite.
