Gerald R. Ford stated that he believed that the country needed to move forward after the fall of Richard M. Nixon and that was a major influence in his decision to pardon Nixon. We did move forward, however, we moved forward with an elephant in the Oval Office. A President of the United States, while holding that office, had repeatedly broken the law and had gotten away with it.

We the people, being of sound mind and collectively aware of the degree and depth of the deceptiveness and wrongful course that the Bush Administration has taken our country in, do hereby take back our power and redistribute said power in such a manner that George W. Bush can no longer have free range to abuse and misuse the power of the Presidency.

George W. Bush was asked what his most memorable moment was since he became President of the United States of America. His response was a surprise and one that only his closest confidants could have guessed. His answer—catching a large fish in his lake. I find this response frightening.
