After 60 years I still retain enough naivete- to believe world peace is possible but being a realist have to face the fact that I won't be around to see it. In my youth some well meaning folks tried to teach me to respect my elders but my observations led me to believe that any fool can become an "elder" while respect must be earned.
In my teens I spent a lot of time traversing precipices, challenging the insane world I could make little sense of to do me in if it dared. Eventually I came to realize that the world wasn't nearly as concerned with me as I was and that the only challenge that ever really matters is that we don't give up on the "good" fight whether we win or not. That and that the people we manage to find the courage to "let in" is what gives life meaning. I have known a lot of people in my life, lived in numerous states, visited most, attended 23 schools, been married and divorced 5 times, had too many jobs, cars, & other meaningless possessions to keep track of, fathered 3 children and made more mistakes than you can shake a stick at. Someone once noted that God doesn't judge us by our degrees or diplomas but by our scars. Most of mine were probably self-inflicted but maybe God will overlook that instead of me.

the Size of a Government Government's size as a right wing issue issue is like most of the issues they spend their time calling attention to nothing more than a ruse. It is a distraction from the important issues that they don't want the masses to even be aware of let alone thing to deeply about.

Should Obama be impeached? Since the combined effect of Reaganomics and Clintonomics the middle class has been on the losing end of Class warfare, a war that most are still in denial of. Barack may very well be a nice guy but in the cases of War Nice Guys do finish last and the middle class is being sucked down the drain on his coattail.

The Year of the Woman Once again the extreme right has come up with something NEW to convince the voter they are the salvation of America despite the trail of blood leading to their back door. The Good old Boy White Male image is so tattered and torn that it is being replaced with the velvet glove on the iron fist, i.e. the Palin T&A MOMMA grizzly defending her cubs i.e. the poor downtrodden under the liberal foot American middle class.

Revernd Jones vs. The United States If one peels the layers of an onion tears will invariably result. If one looks a little deeper into Preacher Jones and his well published book burning the resulting tears may be from the possibility that once again we have been duped into complicity with those responsible for the extremely profitable/Costly wars in the Middle East. Costly to the shrinking middle class and profitable to those whose children are exempted.

The Spiders Web Candidate Selection process is more important than election process and unlike pulling a lever in a voting booth the names one chooses is a stacked deck. Black boxes, Money, Karl Roves and Lee Atwaters plus private corporate control of who is allowed to debate and who is excluded must be eliminated if America is to survive. What goes on behind closed doors is anything other than representative of Democracy.

The Criminal Microcosm vs. the Criminal Macrocosm We have placed our faith in those we have chosen to lead us and in our blindness have not seen their transformation from leader to Master. Perhaps it's not too late to set things straight again. It will not happen though if we continue to sleepwalk.

Breaking the racial ceiling Some people won't vote for Barack because they see him as black. Some people will vote for him because they believe that he is. Either way Color is not a reliable factor in determining who the man really is.
