Rove should be held in contempt of Congress
(16 comments) No American is above the law. None of us should be able to ignore Congress without consequence. If Mr. Rove ignores a subpoena from the Judiciary Committee, then the House of Representatives should pass an Inherent Contempt citation and exercise our right to send the House Sergeant-of-Arms to gather Mr. Rove and bring him before Congress to testify.

(4 comments) The power of the subpoena-to call officials before us-is one of the most fundamental safeguards in our system of government.To have it effectively discarded-by virtue of the President instructing Administration officials to ignore a congressional subpoenas and not even appear before Congress- is unprecedented.The idea that the AG would willingly defend this position - is outrageous.
