The actual purpose of political conspiracy theories is considerably different from what a first reading of any theory might suggest.
The underlying dynamic at work is to create an enemies list -- i.e. individuals and organizations whom should be perceived as "enemies" not honorable opponents, and then be demonized, vanquished, and rendered impotent.
