America needs "Moore" Democracy
(1 comments)
Michael Moore has a knack for juxtaposing key moments in history. His new film starts the fall of Rome, intercut with the collapse of American industry. Could Rome have acted differently when they knew their end was coming? Moore suggests, return to democracy! Moore shows societies are not sustainable with a widening gulf between "those who have everything, and those that have nothing."

Open Letter: The Insider on the Informant!
Famed tobacco whistleblower Jeff Wigand, and subject of the major motion picture the “Insider” asks where is the moral outrage. “Persons of conscience who see or observe harm being committed must come forward with legal knowledge, support and protection for this courageous act.” Adding to Burke's Triumph of Evil - All it takes for evil to prevail is for good people to do nothing. “No more BYSTANDERISM.

Harry Potter: The Wizard Who Came in from the Cold
Be aware: the newest movie "The Half Blood Prince," sharply departs from the book. The book and movie are in fact two different universes, the movie offering but a small taste of the full Potter philosophy of good and evil- and the necessity needed to defeat evil. As Winston Churchill might say, to "Never give in. Never,

"State of Play"- Time for Spy Thrillers to Come in from the Cold.
The zero spy has little connection to either the literary spy or the fantasy spy. The zero spy is a fanciful and confused cardboard concoction that exists only to befuddle the audience . There is no effort to actually solve the mystery he is in. The audience leaves the theater wondering why they went to see the movie.

Doctors Demand Justice for Patient Advocate Whistleblower
(6 comments)
No one is safe when hospitals put profit before patients. Recent revelations of continued fraud at hospitals belonging to the chain of for-profits known as the Hospital Corporation of America (HCA, formerly known as Columbia-HCA) continue to shock the conscience of a people already reeling from fraud in the banking, mortgage and financial sectors. Will a medical meltdown be next? Public safety advocates have asked Congress to

"Sons of Anarchy": The Prince, The Spy, and The Biker who Came in from the Cold
(3 comments)
The season finale of Sons of Anarchy, the brash new biker-gangster drama, ended this week in the funeral of an innocent woman mistakenly gunned down in a blood feud. This is not just another crime story- Sons is even more ambitious than The Shield, The Wire or The Sopranos. Sons of Anarchy is one of the best counter-espionage stories in recent memory- worthy of John le Carr, even of Shakespeare.

"The Shield": Crime and Punishment
Police Drama vividly portrays a lower circle of hell for a guilty conscience. t is fiendishly appropriate that the television police drama, The Shield, ended its series in 2008, exactly 700 years since Dante began writing the Inferno. The Shield, possibly more than any other series, demonstrates the most intense hell on earth,

Join Campaign to Protect Truth-Tellers now!
T Whistleblower Protection Act ("WPA") for the federal civil service as the strongest free speech law in history, on paper. Unfortunately, the law has been functionally overturned by a series of increasingly hostile case decisions from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, which holds a monopoly on judicial review of whistleblower cases. In practice it has become a rubber stamp retaliation
