Larry Snider is the President of the Interfaith Community for Middle East Peace; ICMEP. He founded New Hope for Peace, a dialogue and educational forum in 2001 and is a member of the Greater Bucks County Peace Circle. He is author of numerous articles on the Middle East peace process. Larry has traveled extensively in Israel and the West Bank and developed the Delaware Valley Interfaith Delegation to Israel/Palestine that traveled together to meet politicians, peace activists, settlers, refugees, academics and victims of the conflict in March 2008 in partnership with Leah Green, Director of the Compassionate Listening Project. The delegation including Muslim, Christian and Jewish clergy and lay leaders returned to share all they heard with more than 150 audiences throughout the Philadelphia region and to build ICMEP.

Building Trust + Security = A Framework for PEACE
(1 comments) Middle East Peace is stuck between unilateral initiatives by both sides and large scale popular disbelief in its availability. Trust must be re-established and timing is critical. Accordingly, I present a tradeoff that costs each side dearly but offers something each side desperately wants. The other vital process is to begin a program of national conversations on both sides to help reinvigorate interest in peace.
