Non-violence does not have to be passive
(1 comments) The Occupy Movement and its non-violent method of confrontation demonstrates that non-violence does not have to be passive. Indeed, most social changes for the betterment of the common people have come through demonstration of some form against the powers that be, the elites. The response is often violent in itself, but so far the Occupy movement has not seen violence of the nature involving other protest movements.
