A 12 year legal battle could come to an end soon, as US Court of Appeals for DC Circuit heard The People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran v. US Department of State on Tuesday, January 12, 2010.
PMOI has been removed from terror lists in UK and EU after hard-fought legal battles in which courts ruled there was no evidence to keep the group on those lists.
PMOI is the main organized opposition to the ruling theocracy in Iran.
