Is John McCain's quest for the presidency effectively over?
(11 comments) One can almost see that he has abdicated this race when he answered a supporter who clearly stated that he was scared of Senator Obama and McCain stated, "He is a person you do not have to be scared of as president of the United States." One must wonder if in that moment in time he somehow realized that his campaign was effectively over.

Economically, Barack Obama is correct in using diplomacy when it comes to Iran
I do think this report on how cuts will have to be made in military spending does bode well for Barack Obama who seeks the use of diplomacy when it comes to countries such as Iran. Given our current economic climate, we cannot continue to fund these endless wars that has been McCain's clarion-call throughout this campaign. Next time you hear McCain state we must fight this war in Iraq to its victory ask him: With what money?

Ramos and Compean and not Libby deserves a presidential pardon
(2 comments) Libby's impending prison sentence would have been served at a Club Med style federal prison which houses minimum security prisoners. Meanwhile Ramos and Compean are serving hard time in which Ramos is housed in solitary confinement so that other inmates do not kill him.

Ignacio Ramos is not being allowed any exercise time, and he is shackled every time he leaves his cell." And is also being segregated from the rest of the prison population which is understandable given the fact he would be killed within those prison walls.
