Dr. Jeff Abbott is an attorney and assistant professor of education leadership at Indiana University Purdue University Fort Wayne. He is a former public school superintendent and has specialized in school law for nearly two decades as a practicing attorney. In addition to his law degree he has a Ph.D. in educational leadership. His research agenda is education policy, and specifically the governance structure of public education. He has designed a new model of public school governance which is referred to as the "freedom school model of school goverance."
