Bush at the cross roads of all conflicts
Bush came out of Jordan standing firmly in his "stay the course" mode. Iraqi Prime Minister, Al-Malikie, is pacifying his countrymen telling them that his government will assume all responsibiilites in 2007. If it doesn't, it won't survive till the end of 2007.

How to fix US Democracy
Campaign finance and low voter turnouts are the two most chronic ailments of our democracy. Elected politicians have no incentives to level the playing field and they will keep pandering to special interest groups unless money is abolished altogether from politics. Voting should become a compulsory obligation of citizenship.

The Pope is wrong and violence is wrong
(3 comments) The Pope was wrong to assert that Islam spread through violence and he was wrong again in offering a half-hearted apology. The ensuing violent reaction in the Middle East is wrong and no two wrongs can ever make a right. A constructive interfaith dialogue is urgently needed to reform the Abrahamic faith and make it relevant.
