50 Year Olds are Unemployable Without a Public Option
(13 comments) We can create a public option that covers all uninsured workers,thereby reducing health care costs by $150 billion over 10 years (according the CBO).We'll also increase American competitiveness,increase America's healthiness,dramatically reduce its medical costs,bolster Social Security,and we'll end the embarrassment of being the only first-world country that lets millions of its citizens suffer without health care.

Best way to ensure an honest election? Old voter registration lists!
During the primary, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton got 2.5 million new voters to register to vote Democratic--and another 1 million registered to vote Republican. Sounds pretty impressive doesn't it?In the face of 25 to 27 million Americans who may want to vote but can't,the 3.5 million new registrations in this election cycle are a pittance. Here's what we can do about it.

As usual,in spite of great elections officials and a lot of preelection preparation, another American election was left hanging by poorly programmed and unstable computerized electronic vote counting machinery.When are we going to learn that humans may fail or manipulate vote totals,but they almost never are 900 or 18,000 or 13,000,000 votes off,as the election machines frequently have been?Let all our votes be counted-by hand
