I was born and raised in Philadelphia and now reside in New Jersey. I came of age during the middle 1960s, and, as did a growing number of people my age, became highly concerned upon discovering the widespread malfeasance and misconduct of both government and the corporate world. Events that ensued that decade gave rise to a passionate belief within me that truth and justice needs be applied evenly, across the board, and without class distinction. I have held that ideal to this day.
I have written poetry under the pen name (h)ugh wynne (which is supposed to phonetically resemble my adoptive surname, Ewen, pronounced you win), was published in a small quarterly once but no longer submit.
At present I perform satisfying work in the Biology Department of a small university as a laboratory technician, read, see films, and try to stay abreast of world affairs through the unbiased lens of alternative news sources.
One of the highlights and large conceit of my life was the good fortune to meet the world renowned champion of human rights, Noam Chomsky. As you may guess he is a hero of mine.
