How California Got to be a Bankrupt Gulag
(5 comments) The citizens of California have given themselves over to a system of criminal justice that would do credit to a Stalinist Gulag. State government is apparently willing to go into bankruptcy to continue on with their present policies. Despite federal intervention the state is determined to maintain its shameful record as being number 1 in the entire world in per capita incarceration of its citizens.
