Dzhokhar Tsarnaev and the Miranda Debate With the recent arrest of the Boston marathon bomber, there is much public debate about the expansion of the "public safety exception" to Mirandas to include Miranda-less interrogation of terrorism suspects. But Mirandas only address the admissibility of the statements given by the arrestee. In this case, those statements are not essential to the success of the prosecution.
