we are all terrorists now
(15 comments) Since no evidence is required in court(since there is no trial)any of us can be accused of supporting terrorism (for holding contrary opinions, sending a ten dollar check to Oxfam or on any whim),can then be arrested and imprisoned for life without charges, access to an attorney or communication with family. This is Stalin's America, and the prisons are gulags. Whatever this is,it is not a constitutional republic.

Bloomberg television slanders OWS protest
(1 comments) At 6:00 A.M. Friday morning Bloomberg television featured a report on the OWS protests of November 17, claiming that only 2000 protesters participated and stating emphatically that "Occupy Wall Street has failed to generate enthusiasm from the American population". The Big Club and Their Big Plan
(11 comments) It is an actual "right-wing conspiracy", a war being waged on multiple fronts with a single aim: to create a feudal society, where Americans live mired in debt and learn to expect the dollar-a-day wages common in Asia, while the power brokers continue to live in the obscene luxury of 17th century monarchs. To quote George Carlin, "It is a big club, and you ain't in it". Can an international resistance movement defeat them?

Where are the grown-ups?
(42 comments) As a veteran protester who has been waiting for resistance to the corporate state to show up in the next generation, I am frustrated and pissed off. The protest long-planned and scheduled to begin in Freedom Plaza in Washington DC this week, much better organized and hugely more focused, is putting Occupy Wall Street to shame.

FROM MIDDLE CLASS TO SLAVE CLASS - COURTESY OF THE FED, THE WHITE HOUSE, CONGRESS AND THE BANKERS.
(47 comments) Was the 2008 economic meltdown a premeditated financial takeover by the Fed and Wall Street Banks? Probably. Public policy under Bush and Obama has effectively redistributed middle class savings to the wealthiest one percent of the population. We have to wonder if Obama has any interest in sustaining a democratic system.

Is Russ Feingold our last hope?
(5 comments) Many Americans see revolution as the only remedy to embedded corruption. The revolution may come, but it will not be the one we always wished for. We urgently need the following: Publicly funded elections, an end to gerrymandering, and the impeachment of any Supreme Court justice who rules that a corporation is a person with all rights and protections guaranteed under the constitution.

Four Steps to Restoring Democracy
President Obama may be slow to act on progressive issues, but there are signs that he is open to persuasion.
