Rob Kall has spent his adult life as an awakener and empowerer-- first in the field of biofeedback, inventing products, developing software and a music recording label, MuPsych, within the company he founded in 1978-- Futurehealth, and founding, organizing and running 3 conferences: Winter Brain, on Neurofeedback and consciousness, Optimal Functioning and Positive Psychology (a pioneer in the field of Positive Psychology, first presenting workshops on it in 1985) and Storycon Summit Meeting on the Art Science and Application of Story-- each the first of their kind.  Then, when he found the process of raising people's consciousness and empowering them to take more control of their lives  one person at a time was too slow, he founded Opednews.com-- which has been the top search result on Google for the terms liberal news and progressive opinion for several years. Rob began his Bottom-up Radio show, broadcast on WNJC 1360 AM to Metro Philly, also available on iTunes, covering the transition of our culture, business and world from predominantly Top-down (hierarchical, centralized, authoritarian, patriarchal, big)  to bottom-up (egalitarian, local, interdependent, grassroots, archetypal feminine and small.) Recent long-term projects include a book, Bottom-up-- The Connection Revolution, debillionairizing the planet and the Psychopathy Defense and Optimization Project.

McCain and Scum-- Revisiting my 2008 Interview with John McCain's Naval Academy Dorm-Mate expect four more of the last eight years-- in the Neo Con thinking; the insulated decision making; not listening to the members of the Cabinet; listening to an insulated, closed group of right-wing, politically oriented Neo Conservatives. I would expect him to be bellicose to other countries like Iran, I would expect him, if he took a notion, to launch missiles if something irritated him or something ticked him off.

Exploring the Roots of Top-Down Power-- Necessary to Understand What To Do Next? the question is, how did the big, top-down phenomena happen. And what are the big top-down early manifestations of top-down? It's important to know our roots, how we got to where we are now. That applies to the core top-down powers that now and perhaps always, have confronted democracy and justice.

Pollution as Theft: Accounting for Systemic Externalities We leave things out. Sometimes it's an innocent, unintentional omission. We leave out key ingredients, factors, considerations, in the things we do, the things we make. Science has done just fine with that for a long time, and for simple stuff, this can work out nicely. But when things are more complicated, when things are built within more complex systems... this omission is unacceptable. It's theft from the commons.

Book Review: The Systems View of Life; A Unifying Vision It's been a long time since I've been so excited about reading a non-fiction book, let alone a text book. But this one has captivated my interest by pulling together so many ideas and threads of scientific knowledge and wisdom. The core message of this book is that it is time to replace the mechanistic, atomistic model of science with a botom-up, systems view, both for science and as a cultural metaphor.

NYPD Union's "Don't Attend My Funeral" Letter for Mayor De Blasio-- Another Sign Of Police Culture Pathology The problem with cops killing goes deep. We have prosecutors who, by protecting cops who kill, betray the public's trust. How Pollsters Are Influencing the 2016 Presidential Election Against Elizabeth Warren First, the kind of rigging I am talking about is a very common practice-- a practice clearly in play when it comes to Elizabeth Warren's potential political efficacy in the 2016 elections. The bad news is, this is pretty much the way the polling world works. The good news is that the problem could be resolved if liberal Democratic organizations like DFA and Moveon.org put their money where their mouths are.
