Bush Is Winning Because They Have The Money, And Progressive Sites Feel The Pain

I noted that Rob Kall is attempting to meet his budget in order to keep Op-Ed News available to an audience that grows on a daily basis. Personally, I’m honored to be able to write and be published next to the true heavyweights that are foremost representative of the movement to take back America; I’m speaking of Timothy Gatto, David Swanson, Dave Lindorff, Michael Collins, and the many others who have become synonymous with the peace movement and are attempting to alert America of the daily dangers we face as a nation.

As a writer that exists on $849.00 a month, I know what it feels like when the phone bill comes due, or my site and domain fees are almost due to be paid. Back when gas and food wasn’t so high, and before I knew of Op-Ed News, I contributed regularly to at least three progressive sites, pleased they considered me worthy to post on their sites. However, times have become tougher, for all of us, and that’s one reason the GOP is continually kicking our collective asses - they have the money and we don’t.

To those that read the varied articles on Op-Ed News, and especially those authors that are just beginning, think of the loss we would suffer if Op-Ed News was no longer here; where else can you write and be accepted for publication on a site that receives millions of hits, and we also have the pleasure to be published alongside some of those that have become legendary in the fight for our constitutional rights! For the unknown or little-known writer, Op-Ed News presents a golden opportunity for you to become well-known, and your opinion, whereas it might have been buried away in an unknown or low-traffic Blog or political forum, is read by thousands simply because this site exists as it does.

For those that enjoy the diversity of the material published on Op-Ed News, and also for the many writers that post here, especially those of us who are virtually unknown, it’s important that we support what is becoming one the best news aggregators on the Internet. If it’s only $5.00, all of the little donations add-up, and if it’s more, than you have certainly provided a better service to the country rather than contributing to a party that will ignore the American people after they are elected, as we continue to witness even today. I’m not one to talk, but my donation will be there when my Social Security comes in. I believe we have to support the sites that are really spreading the word and helping to awaken those who still remain asleep, and it’s sites like Op-Ed News that are effectively reaching more and more people everyday.

Even if it’s just a few dollars, there are hundreds and thousands of us that visit this site on a daily basis, and I urge all of you to please help and do something that will further help to awaken the rest of America.

I am nothing more than a patriotic American that is doing whatever I can to further the cause of democracy, the rule of law, and am absolutely outraged on how the Bush administration is defying our Congress, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights! Footnote: I write in a style that I believe is appropriate in today's world where we can't trust the Mainstream News Media, and rather than concentrating on one article alone, which may or may not receive the exposure and emphasis it should, I prefer to meld several relevant stories together, that each taken alone may not expose the entire situation, but when taken-in as a whole, tend to give the reader a better understanding of the subject. One article or story alone does not represent the "Big Picture" - but when several are effectively tied-together it often reveals a trend or broader view of the subject matter that is important to completely understand any given situation. http://justanothercoverup.com/

I'm a philosopher (I even have a degree in the stuff). I am, and try to be, interested in everything, including the things of the body and of the feeling. I make my living as an IT consultant. What am I genuinely proud of? Having raised my three daughters as a single father.

Absolutely!

I realised to my horror that I'd better be careful in what I write in my comments, and not be flippant. Because this newsletter is getting bigger all the time! :-) And then to think that Rob can't meet his budget! For myself, this is the only newsletter I read through cover-to-cover, because of the quality of the articles, and also because of the kindred sentiments expressed. I make a regular contribution. I work in the IT industry, and my current contract expires end December. The moment I have my next contract, I intend to make a more substantial contribution.

I did too

Just a few minutes ago, I also donated. It hurts being on SS, but the thought of Op-Ed News not being online is far worse, as I believe that sites such as this are making a real difference - and ultimately, that's why we write and seek to return to our constitutional origins - and to get there, we must help to awakent he rest of the public.
