Ron Paulites: Your code words fool no one

Here's what is appealing about the Ron Paul campaign: the issues are spelled out with a minimum amount of bullcookies. Oh, it's still there... like "...leading advocate for freedom," well hell yes- isn't everybody? Is any politician going to advocate "tyranny?" The "Democrats" on the issues and the "Republicans" on the issues: sort it out for yourself according to your priorities. Maybe Ron Paul just has a better web design than McCain. But here is McCain on the "issues," and here is Paul

Oh yeah... there's Clinton and Obama as well.

Simplistic as it is, if you must arrange the "issues" in a linear hierarchy, Energy is the main issue. Argue the ins-and-outs of this, but anyone who thinks "Terrorism" is a greater issue than Energy needs to hire a proctologist to help them find their brain. Anyone who thinks "Abortion" is a greater issue than Energy HAS no brain.

What's Ron Paul's position on Energy?

Any source that truly is cheaper and cleaner, yet still reliable, will not need government help to develop or sell.

This sounds like warmed-over Reagan crap to me. "Will not need government help" is the exact reason Ronzo cut the subsidies out from under solar, wind and geothermal energy 20 years ago. That worked out well, didn't it? And that brings us to the "code words."

Here we go again with: "limited constitutional government and free markets." "Free markets" (whatever that means) has been a stellar success, hasn't it? The foxes submitted the lowest bid for the henhouse-guarding job ("agenda?"), so let's hire them. Can you say, "Enron?" Sure you can!

Paul's concept of economics is precisely equal to my knowledge of delivering babies: smoke cigarettes, walk in a circle, and "they" will show you the results! Fact is, the Paulitos are the "new conservatives" (code-word) since "neo-conservative" has become such a shit-stain of corruption and incompetence (and it should be). Perhaps the Paulites are trying to repackage the same failed policies that have us now on the brink of an unavoidable depression and possibly a world war.

"Free-market economy" is the line in the sand. But expecting "liberal" politicians to come up with a viable alternative is like asking your dog to remove a brain tumor. Fido only wants a biscuit. That's another code-word: "statist." and "nanny government." I would submit that the Paulitos only want "lower taxes," which will be moot once they have no income. Once again, Paulitos:

You aint fooling anybody.

rEVOLutionaires..

Ron Paul rEVOLutionaries EVOLved from progressives, libertarians, corporate parties, third parties, and independents to UNITE for freedom from the federal government.  Ron Paul is the only candidate saying: "I don't want to be your dictator"  I will resend the Patriot Act, the Military Commissions Act, the powers Bush took from the Democrat congress and return US to the US Constitution as a path through this mess we're in".

Ron Paul points out that 9-11 was caused by "blowback", because we have been "over there" since 1953, messing with their leaders, installing our own leaders for them, and going to war with them if they try to keep their oil from us, we who have the blessing and the coalation of the willing to invade sovreign nations in the name of the USA for OIL.  Terrorists are anyone who dares to stop the UN NWO.  The UN is bigger and badder than the Bush administration.  The UN protects genocide ask any Palestinian.  Looks like it's in alphebetical order

A is for Abortion, which is not a choice, it's the state sanctioned murder of an innocent human who has been discriminated against by age.  You weren't old enough so you die!  CHOICE is having vasectomies for men who sire unwanted preganacies.  Choice is more birth control choices for men and women, with a range of costs.  The fight to keep abortion legal, when it's legal, is why we have no choice. We should be fighting for CHOICE as in vasectomies and affordable alternative birth control.  Men who sire unwanted pregnancies need to be held accountable.  To say a fetus is not human is insane.

Energy: Ron Paul is good news for cannabis hemp activists who believe hemp for fuel can create and sustain rural communities, farm communities, and there are other alternatives, like solar power and wind power, but people must be FREE to "employ" that power on their properties, and since most power companies have federal and state protection, people are NOT free to employ solar power...some homes are "too old", rules rules rules and regulations that tax tax tax, but we're never ahead of the game.  The rolling blackouts and brownouts here in CA cost we the people a tremendous amount..and yet, these were Bush's buddies in the blue blue state of CA pulling this on we the people?  We want to be free from this crap.  The constitution provides us the RIGHTS to provide for ourselves...so lets talk about capitalism. I'm a capitalist  I have an issue with GREED, greed that is protected by Government is bad for capitalism.  Neocon Free Trade isn't free trade at all...it's buying us into a NWO which is communist..corporate..elite multinational corporatists..who own the UN.

Free Markets Ron paul is talking about means Telsa can campete with Edison.

Ron Paul wants to eliminate Income tax and allot of departments...we are in danger having such a huge massive government that people are demanding take care of us, and they say theuy want equality.  The government can provide that only one way..prison cells and mush for everyone.

We rEVOLutionaries do not believe that Big Brother is our mother, father, lover, brother, sister or friend...the government Frankly does not give a damn and they have proved that so often, that's it's time we cut the feds, and that's what Ron paul and the rEVOLution is all about.  We the people ACTING LOCALLY, thinking and trading globally woth our heads and hearts not are arms and boots.

Code words be damned

It is sad that people seem only to respond to buzz words, catch phrases and sound bites.  Perhaps this is why Nader has so much trouble connecting with the masses - hard to summerize his views in three words.  Obama is the "change" agent - what does that mean, that the others are not?

Tell me the truth and for me that means the three things you will focus your attention on over the next four years.   I agree with a previous poster that energy is job 1.  As I feel the government must lead in this area, economy (how we spend our money) is a close 2nd.  The fact that war spending must be curtailed in order to achieve this is a logical by product in my mind.  I would hope a third priority would be increased transparency in "our" government.  I'm not advocating that we the people need to know everything but the lies, deceipt and general manipulation are extremely counter productive to points 1 and 2.  I would vote for someone who tells me the way it is above someone who tells me what they think I want to hear.

God Bless the Freedom this country was founded on

I have a BSc in Computer And Information Science, enjoy riding my little Ninja motorcycle and running a few miles in the park. I volunteer with an animal rescue agency. I'm fiercely independent, stubborn and have decided to spare any woman the trouble of dealing with me long term by remaining a committed single person. More to come later, barring unforeseen circumstances.

Freedom != Free Market Ideology

Unfortunately the libertarians offer an illusory solution, they are the invisible hand that powers the two party system: big money and corporations. Any fundamentalist ideology leaves a person unable to see things without the filtering mechanism of their chosen ideology. Hence we see the illogic of libertarians calling for the elimination of corporate regulation after the global economy has been brought to the brink of catastrophe by bizarre pyramid schemes. I'm a social libertarian tempered by the realism that any faction can't be trusted. The government has been destroyed in a self-fulfilling demonstration of how evil it is by those driven by increasingly fundamentalist ideas.

Freedom and democracy are not synonyms for free market ideology. There is a place for market forces just as there is a place for addressing common interests beyond blind greed. Market forces efficiently produce and distribute products, whereas social forces determine whether there will be a livable world in which to use those products.

The UN

The UN is corrupt but thats because its a puppet of the imperialist countries on the UN Security Council. The UN has no authority over any country. The UN doesn't control America, America controls the UN. Eliminate the UN Security Council is what is necessary for the UN to reform. In the General Assembly the wealthy countries are on a level playing field with the poor countries. Americans should worry about their own government not the UN. We have to fix our own country before we can fix the UN. I'd be far more concerned with a North American Union than the UN.

Abortion

If a woman chooses to terminate her pregnancy thats her right. No one has any right to use force to stop her. If you men want a vasectomy then go get one. I don't see anyone stopping you. If you can't afford one then tough shit. Thats how the free market that you worship works. If you men start getting pregnant and carrying fetuses inside you then and only then should you have any say on whether the fetus is carried to term. The fetus is the property of the woman to do with as she pleases. So banning abortion would violate a woman's property rights.
