OK, enough already -- enough, enough, enough!

Aren't we all getting sick to death with "blaming" A, B, or C for the disgusting human condition?

Yes, the elites are pigs, and yes the 2006 Democratic Congress are pigs, and yes the Repiglicans are pigs, but behind all this deafening oinking is the pathetic human species.

Nothing makes this clearer than the unforgivable fact that MOST of the human race doesn't give a rat's ass about ANYTHING.

These are the "enablers", the TV watchers, the illiterate cynics -- the slobs of humanity. Because WERE IT NOT FOR ENABLERS, basically all that's wrong and evil about our dying country and planet could be changed in one election. In fact, it could all be changed INDEPENDENTLY of politics.

So the bottom line is that what can you expect from a species made up mostly of psychopaths (e.g., religious fundamentalists) and decaying brains (either by birth or lack of use). God (or god) knows the greed heads are greeding and the vampire elites are gorged with the blood/oil of the planet and the stolen labor of millions, but why is this happening?

Is it happening because "nice people" are overwhelmed by greed vampires, fascist thugs, and religious fanatics?

Yes and no. Superficially yes, but fundamentally no.

It's happening because the human species is ALLOWING it to happen. We are less being victimized, than we are reaping the fruits of choosing to be a marginally brain dead, criminally slothful, and radically dysfunctional species. On a scale of one to ten in the cosmic scheme of things, we are probably a two. That's why extraterrestrial visits are rare (if ever) events on this planet. The word is probably out that the most "advanced" life from on this planet spends all its time self pityingly complaining about things they could change in a week.

But change means WORK. And change means INTELLIGENCE. And change means RISK. Enough said?

So, the tragedy of planet Earth is that we have a "default civilization". Default in the sense that like bacteria and a wound, the "wicked people" simply take advantage of a world (wound?) handed to them on a silver platter by enabling Homo sapien hosts.

Politics is as meaningless as corporate "mission statements" -- talk about being put into a coma.

WE are the problem and only WE can be the solution. The buck stops with the human species, but the extraterrestrial Las Vegas say the odds ain't good.

You're basically regurgitating the same nonsense that is pushed in Ivy League economics 101. Humans are greedy by nature, lazy by nature, etc. and they require certain organizing principles to get them going (in the right direction?).

And to be sure humans are capable of extraordinary hubris and self-destructive behavior just as they are capable of benevolence. Humans are not inherently anything except for a bit of everything so if you are serious about meaningful social and economic alterations you're going to have to delve a little deeper than "Humans Suck."

But hey I expect nothing less from any self-proclaimed liberal. I don't think that that PhD is helping you analyze the conditions of the world very well.

enablers

Well, liberal, self proclaimed or otherwise --you've got that right The thing about posting frequently is that you often learn what you were trying to say only "afer" you say it. Truthfully, I'm a little regretfull that I generalized a tad inappropriately. My real target was the human slob enablers who are the devil's answer to the fascists prayers.

The problem is that I tended to extrapolate from the criminally passive TV couch potatoes to people in general, and that was inappropriate. That's not to say that I have much respect for the human species (which I don't!), but that's another matter that I shouldn't have connected to the enablers of fascism.

So, once again I discover what I'm trying to say after I say it.

Also, I fully expected this post wasn't exactly going to be recieved like a Christmas present, but that doesn't mean I didn't (and don't) read the agreements or disagreements of my readers with respect, since I have learned over and over again that I learn more from these responses (I think) than what I was trying to put out there -- not that this should come as a big suprise since when you drop things into the interspace ocean, you're basically plugging into the planetary brain, so you shoud pay attention to what comes back -- and I do.

In any case, may we move away from all this and extend Christmas greetings to each other families. Sometiimes it hits me like a truck that beneath the verbal disagreements, we're all brother and sister Earthlings, and you know what? I bet we would unite in an instant if we suddenly had a common danger (this is a little science fictiony, but, say being attacked by extraterrestials). Then we would be as ONE and we would protect each other like relatives (well, the good relatives!).

Not really

You're not plugging into the "planetary brain" in any way on the internet, even if there is such a thing.

There are absolutely zero Brazilian Copper miners or Congolese Coltan miners here in the "interspace ocean" and most of what you promote is devoid from the reality of most of the planet.

Not to mention that Henry Kissinger IS heavy and he ain't my brother.
