A short and sweet thank you to all liberal/progressive sites.

by W. Christopher Epler (Bill)

www.opednews.com

Tell A Friend

I am not going to be equal to this, my gratitude is so limitless, but these progressive/liberal sites are now (I think) the best thing going in America.

Here is the collective American consciousness and here we can chat and criticize and inspire each other. Here we have internet "town hall meetings" and its win/win for America.

Yes, sometimes you get whacked (sometimes "I" certainly get whacked), but, hey, isn't that just a symptom of being in an extended political family?

Most of all I want to thank the folks who came up with the bucks and brains to start and maintain these sites. When I'm not too busted (Bush's taxes are murder), I contribute from time to time, and to all the rest of you who contribute, you have the thanks of us all.

I also want to thank the Americans who passionately respond to a submission, because that too is win/win for us all. It's takes time to submit, just as it takes time to respond, and I've learned more from your responses (certainly not just to my ponderings) than I ever thought possible.

So I guess I'll just make a total fool of myself and say I love you people. I love you (and I really do) because for all our different takes on this or that, we all of deeply love this country to the max. God bless America, indeed, and God bless all Americans who love America.

And one last time, God bless those individuals who made and make the sacrifices to keep these sites functional. I can only guess at your sacrifices and commitments, but please, please go to sleep at night knowing your sites are America's lifelines.

Lastly, I still remember what it was like 4 or so years ago when all we had for "news" was Fox Snooze propaganda and similar bought and paid for fascist trash -- and how terribly painful those memories are!

But now, that's dead and buried and those journalist traitors have become increasingly comic and it's just a matter of time before their accountants start pointing out that propaganda no longer pays. Business will have the last laugh, and the programs (and anchors) will go to where most the audience (i.e., money) is, and THAT'S US.

Well, enough already.

So, solidarity, solidarity, solidarity my dear liberal, progressive friends! We have too much collective soul for these subhumans to beat us! There’s a good time coming, be it ever so far away . . .

Liberal/Progessive sites..if it weren't for you

I can only imagine how much worse this country would be and how hopeless our dire situation would become....you are a beacon of enlightment in a dark soulless sea of greed, hatred and

intolerance, not American values at all,....thank you...

Reply: and yes, yes, God bless Rob Kall!

Rob, I've never met you in person, but you seem like a dynamic and deeply ethical man (with lots of projects even outside of Op-Ed News!).  What can I say?  You're kicking butt, Mr., and I hope the time comes that I get to buy you some lunch (I know some cool places).   In fact you can probably get free lunchs from your fans for the rest of your life!

solidarity, always solidarity,

May the blessings of a thousand saints pave your way

Thanks, indeed, for this and other forums, for your comments, responses, offers of assistance and help in spreading the word. The sanitized national press does not want to connect the dots in the farm crisis, nor does it really want to get up off its doofus and condemn the sabotaging of our food chain into just another petrol-producting parasite.

Most of the exposure of this atrocity has been through websites such as these.  But, unfortunately, much of America remains Internet-illiterate and hence, has no exposure to the information which we are currently taking for granted.

As I sit here on my wireless Internet connection in the peace and silence between my neighbors' body slamming episodes, I still hurt for the thousands of elderly black farmers who have neither the education, nor the connections to fight the land theives and terrorists who continue to steal their land.

So, please, I am sure many of you are sick and tired of hearing about "this farmer thing", but many people have expressed outrage to me via email, that this is happening in these Untied States.

And, so I ask you all to: to something for freedom today.  Make a contribution of time, money or support to a worthy cause.  Smile at a  child, hold the door for a differently abled person, tutor a  neighbor, or say a  prayer.

Each one, reach one, teach one and make a difference.

Reply: please tell us more about the farm thing

Please, please tell us more about the "farmer thing". I grew up in the midwest, not on a farm, but I spent many wonderful years playing with my friends on their farms (one time in the feed bin a mouse ran up inside my pant leg and I grabbed him through my pants -- now THAT"S a Zen moment). Anyway, I well remember farms totally run by the folks who lived on them and the ambiance of that was peaceful and wonderful (aside from the mice). So we're all friends here, so tell us the sad facts. Post 2008, God willing, we'll fix the farm thing and hundreds of other fascist atrocities.

ps. Any farmer knows how I solved the mouse/pants dilemna. Hey, there was nothing for it, I had to pull down my pants. Believe me, allowing the mouse to continue his trek up my leg was NOT an option.

Reply: stress to the max

Yeah, all my friends were rolling on the ground. They thought the "townie" was getting what he deserved! I mean for a moment, I simply did not know what to do . . . but then I chose the lesser of the evils.

Progressive radio

Thanks also to liberal/progressive radio.  If you're lucky enough to have a progressive/liberal station where you live as I do, it's been a total sanity-saver.

I only see it getting stronger, no matter what Bill O'Reilly says.

I think of this this way...if it weren't for progressive media, OPN in particular, and if we hadn't met here, we might have met at a funny farm where we'd be knitting doll clothes.
