The fascists have opened (what for them!) is Pandora's Box

Tell A Friend

Opening Pandora's Box is typically the consequence of some kind of extremism, and "extremism" is a radical understatement for what's been happening in America for the last seven years.

The religious fanatics have been going absolutely bonkers, death-wishing about "Last Days" and Armageddon. The Baptist Big Bang is set to go off any day now (we're told), and in the meantime those who hope to be lifted up would do well to support George Bush's 21st Century Crusade against the Muslim World.

NOTHING like this was happening before the year 2000 stolen Presidential Election. In those days, wacko religious cults were just that: wacko religious cults. They didn't, shall we say, have the President's ear (and soul). In those days, the Church & State division, legally mandated by our Constitution, was still reasonably intact.

That was before people like Senate Majority Leader, ("Dr."?) Frist, diagnosed Terry Schiavo from a video tape. The Senator, presumably, was "in the spirit" while he did this. Indeed, this episode was a small tipping point for the Bush/Republican juggernaut, since it proved the fundamental irrationality changing Church & State into Church & Church. The angry polls of that time made it overwhelmingly clear that most Americans preferred medicine to stay grounded in science, not some kind of born again voodoo.

It's increasingly common knowledge that roughly one percent of America controls 90 percent of the wealth. In short, we are unequivocally (just as much as your South American country of choice) a Dictatorship of the Rich. But, prior the year 2000, this was NOT common knowledge and the elites hid this "have and have not" obscenity behind a smoke screen of politics.

However, during the Bush/Republican years, the mega rich got mega, mega greedy, so they made the terrible mistake of coming out into the open to rape Mother Nature and systematically rob and destroy the American Middle Class. In short, now we see them exactly for what they are: vampires of greed who have turned our children into cannon fodder for their Bush/Cheney/Oil Wars, thieves of our retirements and health programs, murderers of our Constitutional Republic, and evil incarnate fascists.

In short, the political scam isn't working any more. We now know the conflict isn't between Democrats and Republicans (most of whom are closet Republicans anyway). The conflict, to say it most broadly is between Good and Evil. More specifically, the conflict is between fascism (including religious theocracy fascism) and Democracy.

The polls really say it all, don't they? Just as "Dr." Frist was unmasked as a disgrace to the medical profession, so do the contemporary polls, again overwhelmingly, show that Americans may have a wide range of political and religious views, but AMERICANS AREN'T FASCISTS.

History will be endlessly astounded at the infinitely ironic connection between the neocon cabal (grounded in the philosophy of Leo Strauss) and the openly Nazi policies of Bush/Republicans.

However, now to the good news, which is that most Americans simply aren't religious fanatics any more than most Americans are totalitarian fascists!

Therefore, the Bush/Republican shtick depends utterly on TOTALLY taking over America before the great majority of American citizens wakes up to what is really happening, i.e., the very soul of our Constitutional Republic is being assassinated by a relatively small group of very un American Americans, i.e., the 1% vampire elites, some dufus death-wishing religious fanatics, and a poisonous cabal of neocon Nazis.

Quantitatively, these people don't really add up to much, therefore a successful coup d'etat for them depends mostly on "shock and awe", a Judas media, and a Congress of Bush Democrats.

Well, the shock and awe doesn't really work anymore, since all the polls show that most (repeat MOST) Americans no longer trust these traitors, and the Judas media has been greatly canceled by the progressive Internet (where do you get your news?).

And so far as the Bush Democrats are concerned (speaking of traitors), that's a tough one, but we just have to keep the faith that the now very liberal/progressive will of the American people will out IN SPITE OF Judas Joe Lieberman and the DLC Hillary Clinton Doll and all those Republican/Democrats who keep voting to give away what is left of our Constitution to G. W. Bush.

May I finish this straight out, one on one, as one American talking over the fence to his neighbors? What I'm struggling to say here (call me a dreamer if you wish) is that I deeply, deeply believe that these last 7 fascist coup d'etat years have FINALLY catalyzed a massive reaction in America. Dishwater Democrats, for example, just haven't got it yet that their base has TOTALLY LEFT THEM and we will find other spokes men and women for our dreams, conscience, intelligence, and values.

Also, we've got the Internet (and blessings upon it!). And the Internet is now seething with passionate, enraged, violated Americans -- Democrats, Republicans, whatever. The point is we all want our Constitutional Republic back and we're bloody willing to play whatever kind of political (or even apolitical!) hardball it takes to get it back.

Pandora's Box

This is an excellent article, though a tad overblown for my taste, but then I skipped most of the rhetoric and zeroed in on the pertinent points, that this Administration certainly has clear fascist intentions.  Rove with his desire to have a permanent Republican majority in power indicates this, as do all of the points the author makes.

One point I would disagree with is that although I will do all in my power to get these people out of office, I will NOT DO ANYTHING to accomplish that.  The reason -- it will make us as bad as they are.  No, this needs to be done with rage and passion, but it needs to be done within the constraints of the Constitution and the law.  Anything else would be a travestry.

Yes, but...

The method for outing a government we don't support and that threatens our freedoms THROUGH the system is by the ballot.

But in 2000, 2002, 2004, and 2006 that was subverted to different degrees.

If we do not have honest, open and fair elections, we have no method within the system to prevent the fascists from taking complete power and enabling Karl Rove's "Permanent GOP Majority" wet dream.

When the SCOTUS decided Bush v. Gore in a political, rather than judicial manner, literally creating a "non-violent coup" in our Constitutional Republic, Mr. Gore said the truth: "Short of revolution, there is no way to reverse a Supreme Court decision." (paraphrase)

When the SCOTUS overturns the 9th Circuit and declares that the Rethuglican Administration can claim "State Secrets" to prevent disclosing whether they have broken the law, we will have NOTHING left.

When the election of our Senators and Congresspeople responsible for impeaching and convicting is controlled by those who would be impeached and convicted, we have nothing left.

Pandora's Box is open, and inside is a river of blood.

my prayer is for 2008

I totally agree with the constraints of constitution and law, but my sense it that as a nation we're standing on about one inch of precipice -- and then the abyss.  They have systemically stolen EVERYTHING, just the Nazis did in Germany.  My prayer is 2008 will make the difference and we can ease back from the precipice (e.g., starting with proviing they KNEW 9/11 was going to happing and did NOTHING to stop it, all with the help and funding of the unAmeraican neocon cabal -- to which Paul Wolfowitz has been welcomed back with open arms).  If God forbid, they manage to steal the 2008 election, just as they did in 2000, 2002, and 2004 (and actually much of 2006 in spite of pseudo victory), then I KNOW the United States of American will not go gently into any goodnight.  And indeed SHOULD NOT got gently into any goodnight!!!  2008 will tell the tale.

9/11/01 exposed?

I challenge you to speculate on what this would really mean to the Unites States and the World. I'm working on a longer reply.

What would happen?

In a BEST case, exposure of "the truth of 9/11" would be that the Republican administration KNEW what was coming and chose to do nothing to prevent it and possibly even took some steps to HELP 9/11 happen (can you say "war games," and "stand down," and "prohibit searches of certain computers," etc.).  In this case, it would simply mean that the stature of the Republican party would be thrown even lower than it already is.

In a WORST case, it would mean that the Republicans complicit involvement in the actual planning and execution of 9/11 was exposed.  This would result in an ugly and bloody counter-revolution, in which anyone ever known to be a Republican or ever to have said they supported the Republicans would be in danger for their lives.  Think THE KILLING FIELDS and millions of people dead in the streets.  Think RIVERS of blood flowing and an entire generation lost.  People with "W" and "Bush/Cheney" stickers in the windows of their SUV's and ultra-big pick-up trucks dragged into the streets and stoned to death.

A one-eyed man in a world of the blind is king, but a rational man in a world of the irrational is a fool.
rabblerowzerA one-eyed man in a world of the blind is king, but a rational man in a world of the irrational is a fool.

Chances are

.

When you consider how easily terrorized Americans have been by the Cheney/bush crime family, you’ve got to wonder how we’ll react when Russia or China start tossing around nuclear threats like Cheney/bush have been doing. Talk and threats are cheap, but not when you have nukes and appear crazy enough to use them.

Most of the world, including me, are convinced that the dynamic-duo are crazy enough to drop the BIG ONE first, and on anyone. C/b have already committed so many crimes, they can’t stop now for fear of International Judgment later. If a World Court began an investigation of Cheney/bush crimes tomorrow, there would be millions of victims eager to testify against them. No doubt Karl Rove has already told nitwit and King Cheney to cover their ass.

Based on what you’ve seen, how do you think they might decide to cover their ass? Go for broke, or face up to their crimes?

The thing that really grates is a creeping sense of guilt that chokes America right now. Our leaders in both parties share the blame for C/b crimes, and they know it. But rather than trying to climb out of the hole, they keep digging deeper. Wars of aggression spawn many other crimes to cover up the original crime. We the people also share the blame for C/b crimes, and we know it. The question is, will we continue committing crimes to cover up the original crime?

Chances are, we the people might someday find ourselves hated and condemned by the world. Somebody’s got to take the fall, and I nominate Cheney/bush. When fascism fell apart for Mussolini, the Italians hung him upside down from a lamppost, which gained them points in International opinion. Nobody hated the Italians after the war, they made a mistake, but fixed it and everybody forgave them. We’ve got to show the world we’re trying to fix our mistakes, or they won’t be so forgiving.

Cheney/bush have to be Impeached for many reasons, but stopping them from committing more war crimes is number one. The whole world is watching, and we better get it right to save our country.

fixing our mistakes

"fixing our mistakes" -- ah, what a wonderful, healing phrase!

But I don't see any hope of that happening until after 2008, do you? Even then, it will depend on who is the dem presidident (God willing), and certaining NOTHING will happen if it's the Republican's favoriate Democrat, Hillary Clinton who never takes a stand on ANYTHING -- one wonders if she really exists.

I DO know America will have no soul unless we unmask the Bush/Republican spinn on 9/11. If it turns out to be something truly treasonous, I personally wouldn't expect any "blood bath" or anything like that. Rather, 3 or 4 individuals (maybe not even Bush or Cheney) would be crucified and the Republican Party would lose its credibility for the few 2 decades.

In short, it will be a bloodbath-avoiding compromise, but with a few high level scapgoats and a trashed pug party for a long time to come. But even that would be a million times better than this MASSIVE 9/11 LIE (or really, lies, since nearly everything they have said has mountanous evidence to the contrary, e.g., dates, scientific data, i.e., pictures, etc.)  There are probably literally hundreds of sites now on the Internet totally rejecting the Bush/Republican spin with arguements and evidence galore.  Also, all this will come more out in the open  as 9/11 approaches.

Aw, hell Bill...

"In short, the political scam isn't working any more. We now know the conflict isn't between Democrats and Republicans (most of whom are closet Republicans anyway). The conflict, to say it most broadly is between Good and Evil. More specifically, the conflict is between fascism (including religious theocracy fascism) and Democracy."

Well said, Bill, I have been saying as much since the coup d'Etat against Clinton.

Now most people are beginning to realize that in modern times we have had only one presidential Messiah, as people as diverse as Churchill, Stalin and most Republicans, realized only one altruistic president FDR, who was given us for one purpose, winning WW II, and even he, like Moses, never got to see victory and enter the land of milk and honey, and even Franklyn tried on occasion to end run the Constitution, so now all we really need is a reincarnation of FDR, and people with the common sense to recognize it and lots of prayers to avert Disaster and what we will have is... a snowball in Hell shot at national cleansing and redemption.

This has all come about because Americans spend too much time worrying about iTunes, some TV version of an amateur Hour and what ring-tones say about their personality. It's a fucking telephone, it's supposed to ring not play music so loud, or say anything other than your phone is ringing, idiots!

Music on a telephone ring is not cool, and certainly not telling of one's personality, it is, however, telling of one's insecurity, attempting to draw attention to ones self by replacement of confidence with vanity born of a sense of insignificance and why not, people who spend their lives cruising at malls, or in front of TV's, watching crap, who "text message" (instead of email?) who seek out iTunes, instead of cooking for the homeless, who don't vote, who have more shoes and ring tones than common sense, who cannot be seen unless they are wearing cool duds, underwear on the outside, boys who look and act like prepubescent girls and girls who look and act like waifs, what can one expect except that someone would steal a nation away from such idiots.

Most parents need to have their kids taken away and raised by Kipling's wolves, or some monk living in a cave somewhere, because American parents are showing a sense of losership.

Camelot on Earth has never, ever lasted very long, and ours was no exception but it is over. Now we enter the stage of declination wherein one finds at the local Homeless Shelter where we cook and serve, the only candidates I would vote for, people who have suffered and through that suffering have discovered what is important in life and it sure as hell isn't fucking ring tones and iTunes and TV amateur hours.

Those fools got what they deserved, Hell in a hand-basket (Whatthehelldoesthatmean? Hell in a Hand basket?) unfortunately when they brought down the roof it fell on the rest and dwindling small percentage of the population who says fuck Cable, fuck Satellite, fuck ring tones and malls, and TV Amateur hours, celebrity gossip magazines and TV shows, spend at least as much time cooking and feeding the homeless as you do watching TV and silently, in your rooms with the door closed praying to Whom or whatever you hold sacred even if it is just yourself, for common sense and a sense of what it truly important and coitus the rest and we may get our sacred trust back some day, but knowing how people are I would, at this point say, nope, it's gone, run for the hills, it is over!

Well, maybe not completely, maybe someone, somewhere will come riding on a white Ferrari and save us all. However, tell me why would anyone want to save a group of self-inflicted adolescent worshipping, unintellectual, impious, moral-Hermorphidites? I wouldn't!

Aw Hell, I didn't get to sleep until 3:00 AM and was up at 5:30 AM, so maybe I am just in a bad mood, ignore me, I'll be in a better mood as soon as what I see on the horizon becomes a reality.

cheer up ...

ah, cheer up, things will get worse ...

Call it Karma, just rewards, reap what you sow, what goes around comes around, our time is up.

We are now paying the price for being a Warrior Nation. We have always been a Warrior Nation. We don't like to think of ourselves as a Warrior Nation, but we are, just ask any Native American Indian.

So the ruthless sociopaths murdered their way to the top and over generations spawned little sociopaths and on and on it went until we find ourselves today with the most insane group of people the world has spawned since Caligula and Nero and more recently Nazi Germany running everything.

Only this time they aren't just pulling the wings off of flies as Rome burns, or marching millions into their "Final Solution" showers as a band plays on.

This time the insane do indeed have the ability to end all life on this planet as surely and quickly as the Great Yucatan Meteorite wiped out the dinosaurs.

And we, the Great Warrior Nation, the Nation that arms and supplies other Nations to fight either with, for, or, against each other, against us, them against someone else, just as long as someone is killing some one all the time somewhere because it's good for business are now paying the price for this folly.

And do you want to know the "good news"?

There is none.

Not unless Space Aliens landed tomorrow and gave us the knowledge to reverse the damage we have already done to this once beautiful Earth, that's even if the insane don't turn it into a cinder-block first. I have only one message - we're fucked.

What we will witness in the next few years will dwarf anything we've experienced in the last few.

Call it Karma.

TOMBSTONE

In the above film when Val Kilmer's Doc Holiday (an Academy Award Nomination, if there ever was one, that never happened), when encountering Johnny Ringo, Doc said, "Ah don't know he reminds me of someone.... Ah know, ME!"

That's it as I chuckled at your response, I said "This sounds like... I know, me!"
