Where is the right to dissent? When can people that believe our government is using us, speak? How long will it take for the majority of the American people to be heard? We have seen our Congress used and manipulated by this administration for over six years. When does it stop? When will the representatives of the people stand up to tyranny?
Tyranny can be described in the vote against the Move-On ad in which the Senate censored Move-On. That of course in all actuality means nothing in fact. The ad was seen and no matter how hard the puppets in the Senate try, the ad rang true with the American people. The good General DID betray us! He used the lull in the fighting in Anbar Province as a sign that Iraq is “coming around” to the illegal, immoral and imperialistic invasion that was never justified! We DID NOT find the “weapons of mass destruction”. We have supplanted the government of Iraq with a government that has no chance of uniting the people of Iraq. We have caused the deaths of over one million people and the count of Iraqi civilian deaths rises higher each day.
So what was Move-On’s crime? Telling the truth? On the Real News Network yesterday they had an interview with Pepe Escobar, a journalist that has a firm knowledge of Iraq and the nuance’s of its many factions. He reported that the militias in Anbar Province want, first and foremost, to be rid of the American occupation. We find ourselves today arming the very insurgents that were shooting at our soldiers’ months ago, and for what reason? The very reason was so that General Betrayus was able to deliver a message to Congress that we are making progress while he held up Anbar Province as shining example.
From what Escobar and others have said, the peace in Anbar Province will not last. The bloodletting in Anbar has not stopped. Fallujah according to Escabar, is tamed because it is 80% destroyed, and hardly anyone lives there anymore. Ramidi is 50% destroyed. If you want to see the interview with Pepe Ecobar you can see it here: http://www.therealnews.com/web/index.php?thisepisode=52 He said, “Nothing is back to normal as Bush said three or four times in his recent speech”.
So did the General Betray Us? Of course he did. Move On was completely correct in their assessment of General Petraus’s speech. The Senate should be censured for backing the lies that the General told.
This is a perfect example of how the government spins everything. Escobar goes on to say that the Sunni’s in Anbar Province have used American backing in Anbar to conduct “ethnic cleansing” of the Shia that live there. So what does all this prove? It proves that Move-On and their ad were telling the American people the truth and the Senate, full of Bushivick minions, are “spinning” the truth. Every Democrat that voted with the Republicans on this should be disenfranchised. The next time that they come up for re-election they should be soundly defeated at the primaries. It’s a sad day when the Senate spins the lies of the executive branch.
This is how I see it.

I was watching the news last night, and heard something that was quite alarming. I cannot remember what talking head said it, but he stated that criticizing our military in a time of war is dangerous. What??? Dangerous to whom, the lying mass media in bed with the corporate-owned government?

That person was right and I would never question our military in a time of war but until I'm shown the declairation of war,as required by our constitution,we are not at war with with anyone. The constitution cannot be amended by passing a act,in this case the war powers act so in fact by a constitutional definition we are not in fact at war with anyone at this time.
