Now these words come straight from Iraq's parliament speaker Mahmoud Mashhadani. I don't think the Iraqi's can be clearer than this.
If the US (unbearably stupid) plans to recognize the "sovereignty" it "returned" to Iraq, despite the fact the US never had any legal path to remove it in the first place, then General Abazaid will shut the hell up about bringing more troops to Iraq, and the US will pack it's failed military and put it's tail between it's legs as it usually does, bow it's head and leave the Middle East.
In shame and in failure. Just like Vietnam. It was interesting to note Karl Rove's depredation of the dumbocrats about their "cut and run" belief when it was Richard Nixon, another republican loser that "cut and ran" from the Nam.
Remember how calm, orderly and collected the US last stand in Saigon was? A small helipad on the roof of the US Ambassador to Vietnam was where hundreds of thousands of people, mostly Vietnamese were begging to leave with the NVA and VC on the outskirts of the now Ho Chi Minh City.
The US Military flew 26 hours from this little pad back and forth to ships to bring the most privileged of Vietnamese and the last of the Americans out. Just the very picture of an honorable departure after a job well done. Running with your ass on fire.
Today in Iraq, hundreds of people are being blown to hell by suicide bombers, and other sorts of horror. Heads showing up in lettuce boxes. Body parts being flung around as if tree branches. This would be kid bodies too. So who's quietly killing off the Sunni's? Al Qaeda? Maybe. Pissed off Iraqi's probably. This sort of galaxian screw up was forecast before the war, and well over a decade ago. Even GHW Bush didn't dare unhorse Hussein.
Typically uninformed, I've read blogs, letters to the editor, and other such places for readers to respond. I'm absolutely incredulous at the number of abject jerkoffs there are in the borders of the United States. Australia is second.
There are people who actually believe that the US is trying to light the flame of "democracy" in Iraq and Afghanistan! Even some clearly brain damaged assholes who think there are still WMD in Iraq. It doesn't matter that even the Bush wrecking crew admitted there are no WMD. "Well, they could be buried, or hauled off to Syria!" Six words for these; Ground Penetrating Radar, and Satellite Imagery!
The US isn't fighting for your freedom, liberty, or for YOU at all. They aren't keeping the country safe, so forget that canard as well. Neither Iraq nor Afghanistan EVER presented a threat to the US. The Bush Crime Family has used all this nonsense to attempt a world takeover of the oil industry. Remember now!, only PART of the US Oil imports come from the Middle East. Otherwise it's Canada, Mexico, and Venezuela, and Bush and his garbage are trying as we speak to foul the elections in Mexico as they did in the US with their little greed ridden company, "Choicepoint."
Venezuela is sitting on 1.36 trillion barrels of heavy crude. That's the stuff you have to get at least thirty bucks a barrel just to turn a profit due to the difficulty of retrieving it. Not 80 dollars a barrel. That's theft. Price gouging theft. Didn't the fact that ExxonMobil's last quarter profit last fiscal year of 9.9 BILLION dollars piss anybody off? No one on EARTH pulls down that sort of cash! Even the drug lords the CIA pays don't get anywhere near this type of money! So what do American's do? Go out and buy SUVs, huge pickup trucks and Recreational Vehicles. Gas guzzlers every one.
Recently, a huge deposit of crude was discovered under northwest Afghanistan. My suspicion is this fact has been well known for a long time. These reserves, plus the Caspian Sea region reserves finally overwhelmed the republican oil drunks like the Bushes, and they just had to act. Then you have PNAC with it's attempt to foist a "new world order" on the planet with THEM in charge. Some real sick mopes, every one.
Back to Afghanistan, a clearly failed state;
The most senior British military commander in Afghanistan yesterday described the situation in the country as "close to anarchy" with feuding foreign agencies and unethical private security companies compounding problems caused by local corruption.
This because Hamid Karzai isn't even really the president of Kabul anymore. His association with the multiple caused warlords, and drug traders has sunk any hope of Afghanistan to become a country since the involvement by the US and UK. The use of mercenaries who are the lowest form of life on earth, right above the republicans, don't respond to directions, and kill virtually anyone. The Afghani's are tired of this shit as well. Not to mention the HUGE heroin crop coming and then the desire to plant next year's crop. If anyone burns this crop, they KILL the Afghans! Why?, because it's the only export Afghanistan has that makes any money!
Let's see what the hypocrite US says about this. The same Americans who bought and sold heroin and now cocaine to finance covert operations of the CIA.
