Up till now - other than his clumsy effort in persuading Fox to sue Al Franken, or his large cash settlement to make a sexual harassment case disappear - Bill O'Reilly has gotten away with murder. Of course the "murder" part is pure hyperbole except for his public slaughter of sound reasoning. (Viewing Notice: Services for the Reasoning family are held nightly on cable).
But once again he has wandered out on another weakened branch of his tired bullying tactics.
You would have thought that Bill would have learned from his inept attacks on Franken and how they helped make Al a mega-book seller zillionaire.
Not so.
This time, Bill has jumped right back on his "we have your number" threat wagon. This past week Bill cut off at least two callers who questioned Bill's well-researched deductions and were acrimoniously reminded that "we have your number."
Everyone who knows of Bill knows of his Mr. Burns-like "Release The Hounds" summons for Fox Security to visit Mike from Orlando. But for those who don't, it's just much too priceless not to repeat.
MFO phoned Bill's Radio Factor, mentioned Keith Olbermann and was immediately cut off, wherein Bill said... Ah, let's just go to the tape. Using Bill's actual words to soil his rep has long been an vile far-left smear tactic.
O'REILLY: There ya go, Mike is -- he's a gone guy. You know, we have his -- we have your phone numbers, by the way. So, if you're listening, Mike, we have your phone number, and we're going to turn it over to Fox security, and you'll be getting a little visit.
SIDEKICK E.D. HILL (Who Was Not Cut Off): Maybe Mike is from the mothership.
O'REILLY: No, Maybe Mike is going to get into big trouble, because we're not going to play around. When you call us, ladies and gentleman, just so you know, we do have your phone number, and if you say anything untoward, obscene, or anything like that, Fox security then will contact your local authorities, and you will be held accountable. Fair?
HILL: That's fair.
O'REILLY: So, just -- all you guys who do this kind of a thing, you know, I know some shock jocks. Whatever. You will be held accountable. Believe it.

Fair warning. Mentioning KO gets you K'O'd from the Factor air. Hey, it's Bill's show. He has the right to cut off anyone he wants. Telling you that the Fox Brown Shirts will be knocking at your door may be stretching the Founding Father's First Amendment intentions. Everyone knows you can't yell "Fox Security will be paying you a visit" in a crowded theater.
In fact, Tony from Fox Security did contact MFO.
In another case a woman caller who disagreed with Bill is said to have received a call from Fox Security while in her car with her daughter.
