Headlined on 3/26/08:
MSNBC Opens The Door On Hillary's Participation In The Family

Tell A Friend

Shortly before 2 p.m. Eastern today, Andrea Mitchell interviewed Joshua Green of The Atlantic regarding Hillary Clinton's participation in The Fellowship (a/k/a The Family). You can read my opinion of Hillary's participation in this organization (including links to background articles in Harpers in early 2003 and Mother Jones in late 2007) in my earlier post on this subject.

I am posting this follow up to acknowledge MSNBC for cracking open the door on this vastly under-reported subject and Joshua Green for his new reporting on the subject in The Atlantic. Here's how his report ends...

In my piece, I chose to focus on the Senate prayer group, but others have written extensively about the strangeness and secrecy of The Fellowship. As this Los Angeles Times story and this exquisitely reported Harper's piece make clear, there is something deeply strange about the group. They certainly do not like press coverage, so in that regard Clinton's attraction might make sense. Reporters hoping to look into the group might want to think again. A few years ago, The Fellowship's archives, which are held at Wheaton College, the evangelical school in Illinois, were reclassified as "restricted" and placed under lock and key.

You can watch his interview with Andrea Mitchell below. The most telling point for me was when Andrea said "... clearly she is involved in a religious organization that is much more right wing that she (pause) claims to be."

Yes, Andrea, who Hillary claims to be just may not be who she really is. The answer to this question "Who is Hillary and what does she want?" is not clear to many of us. We know she has embellished her claims of foreign policy experience while First Lady. But inflating what you tell us you have done is not the same as keeping secret what it is that you have actually done... or are thinking of doing with your right wing "Family" connections if you become President of the United States.

I hope Andrea Mitchell and her fellow reporters at the other networks will work hard to help us all learn what The Family is and why Hillary is so involved in this group.

Key innovation leverage points for Steve are the CSR movement's potential capability to make war obsolete by advocating a "one world/one human family" political reality, and the entertainment industry's ability to communicate a hopeful vision of the future to the public at large. Such a vision is essential if humanity is to live together in peace. An old man wanting to see some thing good happen before I go.
Mr MAn old man wanting to see some thing good happen before I go.

Damn all secrets ...

damn knowing what those secrets are ...  it's not conspiracy - it's a religion - and lying is not a sin - it's save your skin and not your brothers - elites only please and not us others - and you can forget about your daily bread -

our pews are wide and we cast a small net - you get to keep all that you can get - and after you've gobbled-up all there is - you'll gobble-up your kids - and when you're done with them - you can start on your so-called friends -

count yourself among the few - we know what to do - preemptive - they were going to die anyway - it's not cruel it's being smart - it's been this way since the start

and there are those that think there are no conspiracies ...

Wayne Madsen Exposed Hillary's Connections Months Ago

Wayne Madsen exposed Hillary's connections to the Family months ago, not the first time he has scooped the mainstream media. In fact they might have gotten the tipoff from his site. Perhaps Wayne will share some of his info on the Family with us.

I'm a concerned, middle aged blogger and member of the ACLU. I hail from the Bay Area. I Lobbied congress with the ACLU over the more unconstitutional elements of the USA Patriot Act. Marched in peace protests, lost a former school chum in the world trade center on 9/11.

Well I wouldn't exactly....

call this news an example of conspiracy. Who gives a damn where she worships? What concerns me is the demagoguery and the out and out bullshit. We all know she's a conservative as well as we know the DLC is the conservative, republican butt kissing part of the party. As a liberal/progressive democrat, I wish the DLC didn't exist.

Her playing it more to the left than she really is, is a political strategy which amounts to demagoguery. But that said, when we hear about her constantly mouthing off about being under gun fire like some kind of war vet and find that's bull, we see genuine reasons to really start worrying about her. And this is coming from someone who hadn't made up his mind about who he would support until a month ago.

Another big worry is a recent poll that indicates 28% of Hillary supporters will vote for John McCain if Obama wins the nomination. 19% of Obama's supporters say they'd do the same if it's Hillary. The bottom line is, where is FDR when you need him?

We need a single candidate who will unite the democrats against McCain. Thus far we haven't got one. Just two people in a "dead" heat giving the right wing ammunition. I didn't think I'd say this so soon(as if we haven't waited long enough already) but I wish at this point that Hillary would step down and throw her support to Obama before it's too late. For her that would be the noblest possible thing she could do.

Between jobs, passions are motorcycles, music, and green-tech
truthtruffleBetween jobs, passions are motorcycles, music, and green-tech

I don't care for Hillary, and here's why:

I don't know any of the sordid details related to Nixon's impeachment in regards to Hillary, but I just think she's one of these multi-decade 'playaz' that's long, long overdue to get bashed squarely in the figurative snout, and forcibly driven away from the federal feed trough, which itself is long overdue to essentially be up-ended and thoroughly hosed out. This pigsty of a fiscal/representational nightmare frankly needs some able-bodied, sanitation-minded people who are going to start doing the People's business in Washington, and a lot less with the fat-cat, old-boy, 'been-here-forever-and-that's-kind-of-the-problem,-here' stuff. The budget is completely out-of-whack, Hillary et. al. want to drill sideways into people's paychecks, for purposes not entirely clear but you can make you one of them misunderestimatamacated guesses and get pretty close to the mark, I think. Now, kicking over the pork barrel might seem like sort of a rebellious type of thing to advocate, but, come on, let's talk turkey: People trying to get from Monday to Friday without being essentially driven into debt or out of their homes have been having a pretty tough time of it. Hillary's not your friend in that circumstance, by my estimation, anyway. I don't want promises, I want people like the Bushes and the Clintons to post-haste, forth-with, and forevermore extract their greedy stubby little fingers out of my pocket, so that maybe someday I can afford to do something else besides be a wage slave, do a little something with my life besides worry about how to stay in the manager's good graces etc. But, that's not their game plan, IS it? Um, 'no'. Hence, I hope she breaks a heel at the top of the stairs, there, and hits every step on the way down. Nothing personal, of course, but reform's kind of on the menu, here, and I don't think she's got it 'to go' insofar as getting that job done. I think she's another entrenched influence peddler, and bottom line I've never been in public office a day in my life and I think I could do a better job than she could. Period.

This is important to pay attention to

And even more important now that we know what this group is like and who belongs to it. Then we see her promoting to us the same awful people who got us into this financial mess as the ones who can consult us out of it. The woman is as far as I can see so distanced from what the real world is like that all she sees is POWER. And as a drug this is highly addictive in one's bones and being. Her FAMILY is also all about power and as she is the only card carrying Democrat in that room, we have to all ask what is her ultimate goal.

I don't intend to bash her but to ask those who can still vote in primaries to turn away from her in droves and make it known why. I don't think it is enough to not vote for her but to let her know why. We need to let her know how she has failed the people who came out in droves to work for her and have been lied to and betrayed as well as just plain used, including the citizens of the state of New York who should also drive her from office.

Enough already with this kind of double-dealing. There is no other compensation she can offer than to resign from politics forever.

More Nothing

This is more obamaroid crap.

MSNBC/NBC are just the Obamaroid FauxNews Network. Their employees, to a person, are so in the tank for Ther Big BO, that it's scary.

And now we are expected to believe this crap?

Of course, all the obamaroids who have been largely silent on several other articles critical of BO in recent issues are beginning to ooze out of the floorboards on this one.
