Hello Friends, I received the following email from DFA, Democracy for America. They are asking people to contact the office of Conny McCormack, the Los Angeles County Clerk, and express support for Secretary of State Debra Bowen's top-down review of voting machine systems and components and the restrictions Sec. Bowen has placed on these machines.
Ms. McCormack has said she is not happy with Sec. Bowen's review and restrictions, and shockingly, Ms. McCormack expressed concern about Diebold's financial bottom line. That is just not acceptable. click here
I just now called and very politely expressed my support for Debra Bowen and the changes and restrictions that she has ordered, and said I hoped Ms. McCormack would work with Debra Bowen's office to ensure that registered voters can cast their votes, and that all votes are counted and counted accurately. I also said it was inappropriate for Ms. McCormack to concern herself in any way with Diebold's financial situation. The receptionist was very nice and said they'd received "several calls in support of Debra Bowen" and that she'd let Ms. McCormack know about it.

California is leading the nation again. Last Friday, Secretary of State Debra Bowen took a major step forward in restoring election integrity by decertifying electronic voting machines with the "potential for serious security breaches." ¹ Our DFA-List endorsed candidate followed through on her campaign promise to require a top-to-bottom review of election procedures and take action on the results.
Now Sacramento lobbyists and media pundits are trying to stop reform and influence the county officials charged with implementing the changes. That's why your county official in charge of elections needs to hear from you today:

We can make hundreds of calls today and have an effective impact, but only if we stay on message and stick to one issue. Please tell them:

Stephen Heller is famous as the "Diebold Whistleblower". He turned over much evidence of Diebold's defrauding of the State of California and for, his efforts, was rewarded with a three felony count indictment.
