Tell A Friend

In answer to the question "How serious is the subject of global warming?"

It’s warming up, and that’s no lie

The scientists can tell you why

But what they can’t predict, I hear

Is other things that we must fear

Like famine, and the melting ice

In polar climes, which may suffice

To drown us living by the coast

Or drive us higher, that’s the most

Acceptable outcome that we

Could hope for, but it seems to me

It might be advantageous now

To call the party off somehow

Just party on, our leaders say

Kyoto’s for another day

We’re making money, can’t you see?

Protecting the economy

So I suppose that we are screwed

Our leaders just do not include

Enough folk who can see ahead

Imagining our planet dead

From overheat, as it may beĀ

Extinction of humanity,

We must control our CO2

To keep our little marble blue.

Progress depends on me and you.

And call your congress critter too.
