AL Gore: Uncle Sam Wants You

             I WANT AL GORE

It is now time for Al Gore to do his patriotic duty and save the country. This is not a time for him to worry about personal attacks or his effectiveness as a private citizen working on just environmental issues. The Presidency is the place where he can make the difference. He has spent more than 30 years in public service and never has his country needed him more. He has spent the last 6 years speaking truth to power and has the credibility and experience to make lemonade out of the lemon caused by the stolen election of 2000. Not since the election of FDR was there such a need for sane and competent leadership. It is time for Al Gore to have his "rendezvous with destiny."

Repeat the same experiment, expect a different result?

That is the definition of insanity. Gore showed what he is really made of in 2000 when he rolled over and played dead, allowing Bush & Co to seize power and ruin our country. He failed us then, with a capital F. When the cameras were on him he had the chance to say "All those who demand justice, come to Washington, DC and meet me on the steps of the Capitol and we will take our country back." I would have been there in a heartbeat. But he didn't do that. He accepted this coup with a smile and we were supposed to think "what a good sport." I simply thought "this guy is gutless and lacks the characteristics of a true leader." Speaking truth to power? We didn't get that in 2000, and we will never get it from this guy. Wake up and smell the coffee.

5 Justices + Al Gore

Al Gore was shot down by 5 members of the Supreme Court, plus Al Gore.  By conceding an illegal election, Gore was a willing pariticpant in the subversion of the electoral process.

This renders him unfit to hold any public office, much less the presidency.

It's as simple as that.

2000 election

The republicans were making a fool out of him.  He tried for over a month to get the votes counted.  He ran up against a brick wall and there was no place left to turn for help.  I really believe that they would have killed him if he took office.  I'm sure the bush crime family did give him death treats.

Rasoul Acheh

Al Fooled You Once, Shame on Al, Fool You Twice...

Nothing is as pathetic as a contemporary American voter. It makes no difference whether they consider themselves, "liberals", "progressives" or "conservatives", they're all equally, too clueless, for their own, or the nation's, good! Contemporary progressives, and liberals, for instance, have a devil of a time, grasping that there is now, absolutely no opposition in the so-called "two party" system. This means that they can beg, and plead, with the Dems, till hell freezes over, yet they will never get, what they want, out of them! These people need to wrap their brains, around the undeniable fact, that the "Democrats" are merely a phony opposition, not the real thing! Their job is to lead the public on, while doing whatever the GOP wants! You have to admit though, they do their job quite well! The liberals, and progressives, are completely under their spell, with no sign of ever waking up! The so-called conservatives, on the other hand, completely miss the point that the GOP, is no longer run by conservatives, only people, who masquerade as such! These people are essentially criminals, and liars. They're politically, more "trotskyite", than "conservative". The joke then is on the 'know it all' U.S. conservative voter. Taught to hate, rather than think, they've all been reduced, to stooges, and zealots, of a criminal organization, the GOP! For this party, no crime, or offense, against the nation, or humanity, is too great!

With U.S. liberals, progressives, and conservatives all reduced to dutiful zombies, of their respective parties, what we have in the U.S. today, is a form of "two party" communism. Incompetent U.S. voters, continue to mistake this, for democracy! In short, the contemporary American public, has been completely swindled, out of all the benefits, of true representative democracy, by the Dems, and GOP, and taught to like it! It was in the context of this massive, but still invisible con game, that Al Gore mounted his phony run for the Whitehouse in 2000! Al never really wanted the job, which is why he ended up, handing the whitehouse to Bush, after a phony post election fight! Al knows better, than to participate in this scam twice! John Kerry merely reprised, Gore's phony candidacy, in 2004! So there you have it, the Dems have put forward, two phony presidential candidates, since 2000, and counting!

Since contemporary voters are so politically inept, it's a piece of cake to completely rig these things nowadays! Incompetent U.S. voters hear no evil, see no evil, and speak no evil. They just keep on doing the same stupid things, time, and time, again. Due to the fact that most have no idea how brainwashed they are, there's little or no chance, for real change. The twenty first century, has revealed itself to be, an era where millions of adults, can be reduced to child-like gullibility, and political zombiism. This has been acheived , by powerful special interests, turning the mass media, and respected political parties, against an unsuspecting public. No nation should expect to remain either free, or prosperous, under such crippling conditions! In this era of special interest domination of political parties, and the media, this is unfortunately what we have, in these United States! The last person Americans should look to as a savior, is Al Gore! In fact, since they got themselves into this mess, by being naive, and gullible, to a fault, there is no savior, for the people of the U.S., except themselves! They won't be of much use to themselves however, until they awaken from their zombie-like stupor, and stop being useful idiots, and dupes, for the special interests! This is certainly a tall order, but the only realistic way out, of the bizarro farce, that U.S. voters mistake, for "politics"!

Let me offer you an "inconvenient truth", SDrobny.

Bush, in his insane drive for oil isn't only making us all accessories to a war crime, he is killing the planet. We simply can't afford to have that kind of dinosaur mentality making bad decisions anymore. More oil is precisely the wrong answer. We may have (I have serious doubts about this) enough time to put intelligent thinking adults in charge to turn this developing disaster around. But it has to be done, and the people we choose to do the job have to have demonstrated their grasp of the situation, which clearly eliminates any of the regressives. You don't send a boy to do a man's job , and that 's exactly the mistake you Repubs made.

I confess to being confused: sorry, SDrobny

I meant my comment to be directed at "acheh". I guess I was wondering why the MSM was being so quiet about our SoS Debra Bowen sticking it to the voting computer vendors. No doubt they're wondering if their owners would get mad if they reported it, or if doing so, it would incur the wrath of the trolls- so they're doing the safe thing, they're ignoring it.

the inconvenient truth

W.  is a failure.  He went AWOL from the guards during Viet Nam, but he sends the guards in to fight his war.  He was an alcoholic and at time it appears by his actions that he still may be drinking.  He had 3 failed businesses.  Every time he makes a mess daddy and his friends clean up after him.  Why the GOP put this mentally ill mess in office I don't know.  But for some reason they allowed the bush crime family to steal the white house.  W.  has made it clear sense he first stepped foot into office that he hates the American people and is paying us back for something.  I just wish the congress wasn't on vacation.

Al Gore has grown since he we won in 2000

Every 7 years, every cell in our bodies is replaced.  Gore is not who he was and has grown from having the Presidency snatched from him by fascist forces.  We, the people, can give back to him that which was taken.  The problem is he may have realized it is not what he wanted after all.

Al Gore hasn't grown enough

to be a one person solution to the problems. Indeed, there is no one person solution to the problems - unless you actually WANT to disenfranchise the people from government of the people by the people for the people and just go for benevolent dictatorship hoping it will be benevolent.

Whilst it is certainly true that having a smarter President would be better (it would cut down the stupid mistakes) and Al Gore is smart, I have strong reservations about him as President.  I doubt his hunger to serve and his work ethic and based on at least one book that I have read in which he is quoted I doubt his commitment to international law (which is the only way to avoid international war).

I wish there were more like Al Gore in the voting population of America, and in the think tanks that come up with policy, but I'd hope America with its 300 million population could produce a better candidate for President than a reluctant Al Gore would be likely to be.  Al Gore is probably doing better public service now than he would do as President.

Don't change the subject: my comment was about Gore

And his observed behavior in 2000. He showed no backbone. He rolled over and played dead, when we all needed our President-elect to stand up and fight for our Republic. This is a guy that I voted for and believed in. He wimped out at the critical moment. Why would anyone in his right mind vote again for a guy who let us all down by simply folding in the face of a constitutional crisis? Do you think he has "found his backbone" after 7 years? Has he been the beneficiary of stem cell experiments? I am not so easily convinced. I like what Gore has done with raising environmental awareness and I applaud him for that. But for a presidential candidate I want to vote for someone I think has the cajones to stand up to the system and push back. Frankly, I am not sure if any of the R & D candidates have the kind of character we really need. But as far as Gore is concerned, there is little basis to trust him again. My guess is we need to "go outside the box" and start a 3rd party that is really interested in changing the way things are done, with candidates who are not already bought out by corporations. What we really want isn't going to come inside the current paradigm and it won't come without a fight. If nothing else I should at least acknowledge that Gore's failure to stand up for all of us at the moment of truth was the beginning of my awakening to the depth of corruption in our current system.

Al Gore

Al Gore did fight to get the votes counted.  He faught really hard.  If we are angry at anyone it should be the Court for giving the prince the office.  What more could Al Gore do, the highest court in the country gave the election to their boy.  Myself I think that Al Gore is the light that stands out for freedom.  Do you think that Hillary or Obama have a chance to win.  I don't see the bush supporters jumping ship to vote for either.  At least Al Gore has the ability to win.

Who you waiting for?

Fine. Go for the unelectable Ron Paul, or the equally unelectable Dennis Kuchinich. Some of you guys sound like the Green purists, the people who should be courting Gore but who are waiting for Jesus Christ to do his Second Coming number. Gore has baggage, to be sure. Who doesn't? But name me someone else half-respectable that can win.

Winning elections isn't winning anything

if the people elected don't actually represent you.

The whole focus on 2008 is pure misdirection.

What possible promise can ANY candidate make you that you could reasonably trust them to uphold if they will not uphold their oath of office?

The answer of course is NONE.

What is at stake, at present, is whether the citizen will get to be represented by ANYONE in future, or whether this new notion that representatives can set aside their personal oaths of office by waving some excuse like "the votes aren't there to support me" will prevail.

Once impeachment is off the table, once a representative any representatives duty to keep their personal oath to support and defend the constitution becomes optional in politics then you logically have NO RELIABLE representative because the precedent of rationalising away their individual oaths of service to you becomes part of contemporary politics.

These are hardball times for citizens and unfortunately the citizens that are around are not of the same staunch stuff as those that were around in earlier times. It is citizenship itself that is currently being diluted.

It will do no good to call for heros if you allow the representatives that you already have to weasle out of their responsibilities to you.

What is needed is a rallying around the constitution not around candidates in a phoney election. If you want to support a contemporary candidate then first see if they are for real - ask them if they will support impeachment when it is the unpopular but right thing to do?

If their answer is no, then what can their personal oath be worth to you?

Unelectable unless not

Dennis Kucinich is "unelectable" because you say so, or because someone else says so and you rebleat what you've been told?

Dennis Kucinich is unelectable unless we elect him, in which case he is electable by definitiion.   Oh, what you meant is that it would be  DIFFICULT.  That it would take WORK.

Well, that settles it then.  Democrats don't do difficult, especially if it's difficlut and right.

Al Gore is fulfilling his destiny

No ultimatums, no foot stomping, no looking for him to word his sentences a certain way in order to know that his heart is firmly set to doing what he has been trying to do for thirty years. This is what he went through the fire to get to. This is the result of him looking into the abyss and seeing his soul and finding his character. And this is what many of us will see when we look into our own abyss if we dare look... The challenge of a lifetime that requires a moral strength unlike anything we have ever seen before. A moral strength that far surpasses the daily political rhetoric, and a moral strength that is sustained like a slow burning fire every day for all our lives because it is kept alive by the search for truth. That is what his work on the climate crisis is about, and it is his calling.

So maybe the American citizens with English and Welch backgrounds should just go to Avalon and blow the horn and hope that Arthur will come to save us.  The media is trying to sell us two people who can't win.  I keep hoping and praying that Gore does run.  His is the one democrate I whould help elect.

If you are depending on one person to "save you"

Then you won't be saved. And Al Gore is already doing more than he ever had to do. Now it's our turn. That's why the organization that ran Live Earth with Mr. Gore was called SOS-Save Ourselves. So rather than say you won't vote or you won't support this one or that one (did you say that in 2004 when he didn't run?) how about using your voice and your own talents to bring about change? Al Gore is already doing that. Such a shame so many aren't even noticing it.
