Time to Change

Today the United States isn't. It's no longer a Federation of independent Nation States with primary citizenship going to the State. It's no longer a Nation of law but a banana republic dictated to by a self proclaimed leader (in another language Der Fuhrer). It's no longer a place of individual freedoms. The Leader or Decider has made sure the right to a trial by jury, free speech and so on depend on what he decides. Now he wants to take away our other rights. Instead substituting what he decides for what the Constitution guarantees.

It's no longer a nation governed by a Constitution. Mr. Bush has said more than once "don't bother me with that God dam piece of paper". This even though he swore to protect and defend the Constitution when he came into office. In fact every Federal official from the lowest military recruit to the president swears to protect and defend the Constitution from all enemies, foreign or domestic. However it is not like that even at the local level. How many companies have relocated to your locality because they were promised no taxes for a given length of time? What happens if you demand the same treatment? Won't happen because they own the government, not you. What about paying triple taxes on your income? Does your money say United States Treasury on it? Does it say redeemable in gold or silver on demand? Nope because it's not issued by or controlled by the United States Government. It's an IOU from a private, tax exempt bank, which loans everything bought and paid for by the government and gets all the tax receipts in return. Not only that, but in addition they have another tax on you, without your knowledge. It's called a printing press and basically they are making money out of thin air, it's called inflation and those who can remember like me when a new car cost around two or three thousand dollars. Without inflation, they still do.

What can we do about it? To begin with, get rid of all our present elected officials as soon as possible. Refuse to buy the lies that the Republicans or the Democrats represent you and pick someone who is not tied to the present system. Force laws at the local level that give the people the right to decide what and how they will spend their money, line item by line item. It works in NE towns, so why not in your locality? Take away Corporate personhood. Demand that all government activities be conducted in the open and any additions to a bill must be related to the bill. Make lying by elected or appointed officials punishable by loss of office, ten years in jail and loss of the right to hold any office again.

How can we accomplish this? First by tossing out everyone holding elected office today. Second by forcing their replacements to do what We the People tell them we want. Or if that doesn't work, we can always turn to the document that preceeded the Constitution, known as the Declaration of Independence. Or we can go back to a loose Confederation of State/Nations like we were before the Constitution was adopted.

What do you think? What can you suggest? What should we do? It's not up to me, but to We the People.
