Kudos to Clinton

Hey there!

It seems what I said about the Democrats needing to gain the courage of the dying might actually be coming to pass. While it's true the Democrat that seems to be showing the courage most is ineligible for the White House since he served two terms there, the point remains that at long last, someone in the Democratic party is talking tough, and giving it to DUBYA just the way it needs to be given.

Bill Clinton appeared on Fox News Sunday, and officially gave it to DUBYA, and to the interviewer, Chris Wallace. Clinton defended his handling of attempts to "kill" Osama Bin laden; something that was called into question by the heinous fictionalized piece garbage called The Path To 9/11, the "docu-drama" foisted upon us by ABC, and their parent company, Disney.

In a direct quote, Mr. Clinton stated, "That's the difference in me and some, including all of the right wingers who are attacking me now." He added, "They ridiculed me for trying. They had eight months to try, they did not try."

All I can say is, "Right on, Mr. Clinton! Give it to them in large doses. Put the blame back squarely where it belongs, on the doorstep of the White House now infested with the scourge that is DUBYA and his brood of vipers!"

My only regret in all of this was I wasn't watching that show. I'd have paid money to see the look on the face of Wallace. I'd have paid even more to see a Democrat showing some real testicular fortitude! It's too bad I refuse to pollute my head with the vomitous ooze that is the Fox News Channel. I know I should know the enemy and all that, but it doesn't take a genius IQ to know that all you need to do is watch CNN or the national news and realize that most of what you are seeing and hearing is served up for mass consumption, and none of it is true.

But it didn't stop there. No. President Clinton went on to accuse Wallace of doing a "conservative hit job." He continued by asking, "I want to know how many people in the [DUBYA] administration you asked, 'Why didn't you do anything about the bombing of the Cole?' I want to know how many people you asked, 'Why did you fire Dick Clarke?'"

I'd like to know the same thing. Why is it that when a ship gets bombed in Yemen, nothing happened. There was no further effort to find out what other tricks Osama had up his sleeves. Further, when one gets a memo entitled, "Bin Laden determined to attack in America", why is that not a reason to start finding out if there is any fire associated with that smoke. Perhaps if DUBYA hadn't been on vacation so much, he might have gotten wind of the impending attacks on the World Trade Center, and maybe he'd have done something.

Oh, wait, I'm sorry. How could I forget? DUBYA had LOTS of time and plenty of warnings about the ferocity, size and possible consequences of Hurricane Katrina, and he didn't do diddly squat there either. I guess that insignificant memo about Osama wouldn't have mattered anyway. Clearing brush and cutting down trees on his Crawford ranch is so much more important than worrying about the possible loss of life that might occur from two airliners hitting the World Trade Center. Of course, that situation would give DUBYA an excellent excuse to start a war in Iraq, but I digress.

Back to Mr. Clinton. He said that he "worked hard" to get Bin Laden killed. He stated that he had contracted with people to kill [Bin Laden], and that he got closer to killing him than anyone has since.

Oh man, another slam-dunk on DUBYA. I love Clinton! I'd gladly smoke a cigar with him! I always knew here was a reason I voted for him twice! He's still got it after all these years. I hope he plans on giving his all to the Democrats for the up-coming midterms! Perhaps he'll embolden the rest of the Democrats. It would sure be nice!

Mr. Clinton also appeared on NBC's Meet The Press where he made a very good point. He said that the biggest problem confronting the world today is, "the illusion that our differences matter more than our common humanity." He continued by saying, "That's what's driving the terrorism. It's not just that there's an unresolved Arab-Israeli conflict. Osama Bin Laden and Dr. al-Zawahiri can convince young Sunni Arab men, who have - and some women - who have despairing conditions in their lives, that they get a one-way ticket to heaven in a hurry if they kill a lot of innocent people who don't share their reality."

Folks, he had me at, "hello!" All the rest was just icing on the cake!

I feel so relieved that at long last, someone from the Democratic Party is speaking to the lunacy and ineptitude that is the DUBYA regime. I truly hope that the rest of the Democrats stand next to him and show the same amount of courage he showed on these two shows. They seriously need to do just that!

There absolutely must be a change in both the House and Senate! The only way that is going to happen is for the Democrats to take off the kid gloves, kick ass, and take names. Nothing less will get the job done. Since Mr. Clinton has started the ball rolling, let's all do our parts. Let's support those Democratic candidates in our respective states, districts, and local precincts. Let's not bicker and argue about whether or not the Democrats are also eating from troughs of money from special interests.

Chewing Gum and Multitasking

Yes I loved to see President Clinton get angry and agressive. They have been kicking him in the teeth for almost 14 years and he has out manuvered them at all turns. He is a brillant man and I got mad at him too for the dumb stuff he did but, it is over. I remember when he tried to bomb Bin Lauden and the Republicans in congress screamed bloody murder. They were too busy sailvating over a chance to impeach him. They knew it would not help this country, at the time, and they did not care, but they went forward anyway.
Born poor, Bill had to buy his own gum. But God Bless him, Bill can multitask. I do not believe I have ever seen anyone expereince the relentless personal attacks at the level Mr Clinton lived under every day he was president. They went after his wife and his innocent daughter and quess what? There best was not good enough to destroy them. They are mulitaskers too!
Bush can not walk and chew gum at the same time even though he has never had to buy a stick, himself.Daddy gave it to him.

Amen to that! Clinton is a personal hero, although I am sure that may distress some who read my stuff. I am going to write yet another addendum to this article as I finally saw the Fox News program in question. Now that I have seen it, I am even more convinced.

Check out the addendum for more.

Blessed be!

No Subject Entered

Though I am dismayed by your praise for Clinton, I hope you have the good sense to vote for Kinky Friedman for governor of Texas. To understand my negativity towards Clinton and other Democraps, read my book Delusional Democracy, check it out at www.delusionaldemocracy.com

I will check it out, and yes, I am voting for Kinky for so many reasons, I can't even begin to list them all here. Actually, I suppose I could, but I'd prefer to stay my own personal course on keeping the pressure on to get the Republicans out of office.

Like Clinton or not, the point remains that at long last, someone in the Democratic Party has finally shown a set of balls in standing up to him, and the Neo-con slime brigade. If there is any hope of snatching our country back from the clutches of the ignoramus that is driving it into the ditch, we have to remain focused on one thing: getting checks and balances back into our federal government. Since the rubber-stampers of the Republican party can't be bothered to do their jobs, someone, or many someones have to step in and do it.

Blessed be!

An addendum, I saw the interview in question. Kudos again!

It was a true thing of beauty, and the response is just what I would have expected. I am a rabid fan of The Daily Show With Jon Stewart on Comedy Central. I can ALWAYS count on them to give me the news with a tinge of reality, and make me laugh in the process.

Tonight, they featured the interview I wrote of in the main article. I was even more impressed by seeing how Mr. Clinton handled himself than I was when I read the source story for the article. Mr. Clinton's performance was nothing less than stunning! He really did give it to DUBYA, and to that blithering, baiting moron, Chris Wallace.

The way Wallace asked the question was nothing less than condescending! The smugness in his tone, and the shit-eating grin on his face almost made me revisit my dinner. Given the tone of the question, I feel that Mr. Clinton was more than justified in his response. Personally, I thought he should have slapped that silly grin off Wallace's face, but that wouldn't have played well on screen. Considering all I saw, I'd have to say that Mr. Clinton behaved remarkably well. Had it been me, I'd have called Wallace everything but a white man, then I'd have slapped the smirk off his pinched-up, pasty face.

The thing that really galled me about the whole affair is what I saw afterward. There were screen shots of various news entities (mostly Fox) talking about the interview. Instead of talking about the issues, or talking about what Mr. Clinton said, all they could do was talk about how angry he became, or how "contentious" and "combative" Mr. Clinton became.

Ah, the spin machine was firing on all cylinders. They didn't even have the balls to show any part of the interview, they just made commentary that Mr. Clinton became angry. It brought to mind how the media made Howard Dean out to be a madman because of his "rebel yell". Why tell the story if you can paint someone to be off their rockers?

This is total bullshit, and the biggest reason I do not watch Fox News. They don't want to tell the truth, they only want to spin news and slant it to their own ends. It's also the reason I watch The Daily Show. I know that there will at least be an attempt to keep the spin to a minimum. And they call it a fake news program.

HAH! Fox News is the fake news program. They don't report news, they don't report facts, they don't report, PERIOD! They spin. That's all they do. They make the Republicans out to be heroes, and the Democrats out to be lunatics.

Well, screw you, Fox News. You suck with a suction power that makes the creator of the Dyson Vacuum cleaner envious! You can't tell the truth because you don't know how. You won't tell the truth because the truth is the Neo-cons to whom you pander are destroying this country.

And more kudos than ever to Bill Clinton. He is a voice of reason in unreasonable times, and I think that deserves the highest praise I can muster.

Blessed be!

An addendum, I saw the WHOLE interview

I will only say this about the interview of Bill Clinton: if you mess with the bull, you get the horns!

If there was any combat in the interview, it was Wallace combatting to change the subject so he wouldn't have to get the truth smeared in his pasty pinched-up face! I think Mr. Clinton was very on target, and considering what Wallace was attempting to do (embarrass and minimize Mr. Clinton), Bill handled himself very well. I know I'd have torn that pasty faced asshole a new one if I had been Mr. Clinton.

KUDOS for a third time, Mr. President!

Blessed be!
