Today, Bush authorized the killing of suspected Iranian spies or agents. It sure looks like escalating tensions with Iran to me. This team of idiots is going to start another war. It is going to be very ugly.

The only way this can be stopped is if congress finds its testicles and cuts out the pure bullshit the representatives have been selling us with their soft, meaningless sense of congress legislation. They MUST introduce and pass Binding legislation. Nothing else has any meaning.

Robert Byrd submitted legislation that seeks to block Bush from starting anything with Iran, but guess what. It's non-binding. The congress must do ALL it can to stop this escalation into fullblown war against Iran, that is already under way. They must pass binding legislation. They should hold hearings, calling top military brass in to testify. They should pass legislation taking away pay and pensions from Military top brass who disobey congress. They should start talking to the Iranians. They should circumvent worthless Condi Rice's faux diplomatic efforts.

If they want to stop the coming war, they have to do a whole lot more than they are currently doing.

Bush, Cheney, Rice-- they're selling the same old garbage they used in 2003 to sell the Iraq war-- threats of nuclear danger, lies about threats and danger from Iran... And the media is eating it up, stenographically transmitting all the lies they tell.

But we know better this time. We know not to trust them. We know they will do what they judge is best, even though we know their past judgment has been terrible.

It is up to congress to prevent what could be a catastrophic upping of the ante by the Bush Cheney McCain Lieberman idiocracy. These fools could start a nuclear holocaust. They will, if allowed dump billions more dollars into the bottomless pit of the middle east, stealing the future from our children.

It is up to congress to get itself together quickly, for the Democrats to make it clear to Republicans that it is the interest of the Republicans to work with the Democrats to stop further escalation of the war. It is up to the Republicans to make it clear to Bush and Cheney that they have lost credibility, that they have already been given enough chances. No more "fooled again."

With or without the Republicans, the Democratic leadership of the house and senate must take every step possible to stop Bush. They must brave the Republican threat of Filibuster and face it down. They have to, immediately, stop playing games with worthless, non-binding legislation and start introducing BINDING legislation and only binding legislation when it comes to Bush. He will ignore everything else. Everything else is bullshit and the congress, by passing anything but BINDING LEGISLATION is insulting every American who voted in November who sent a message to the congress.

I don't want to be bullshitted. I want real action.
