A Prayer For Elizabeth Edwards
Wife of Presidential candidate John Edwards,
recently diagnosed with "incurable" cancer.

THERE IS ONE GOD WHO CREATED ALL THINGS, AND WHO HAS ULTIMATE CONTROL OVER EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENS IN THE UNIVERSE. THIS PRAYER IS DIRECTED TO HIM, BY WHATEVER NAME YOU CHOOSE TO CALL HIM.

Dear LORD, we come to You in prayer today
To ask that You will choose to use Your power
To aid a special person in distress.

Her name is Elizabeth Edwards.

We pray that You will go and be with her,
And give her all the comfort that she needs.
We pray that You will put her mind at ease,
In confidence that You are in control
Of everything that happens in her life.

And if You choose to act upon our prayer,
We pray that You will give to her Your cure
For all the cancer that she now does have.
We pray that You remove it from her life,
And let her carry on her work for us.
