The Invasion & Occupation Victims

The Plan:
From deep in the bowels of the White house, the command center situation room, Cheney was heard to bark “The order still stands” as a supposed high-jacked aircraft penetrated the most restricted airspace in the world. After standing down the North American air defense system and orchestrating the events on 9/11, this administration set in motion their “Project for a New American Century”, developed a decade before. Using their “New Pearl Harbor” they whipped the Congress and the public into a war fever. Cheney embraced “The dark side” with preemptive war, indefinite detention, enhanced interrogation, and extraordinary rendition. A variety of military, CIA, and contracted mercenary assets are nefariously employed.
Based on a remarkably simple fact of human psychology that emotion trumps reason, fear mongering can be channeled into anger and revenge against an imaginary foe. They laid waste to the lands and people between the Euphrates and Tigris rivers because what they lust for is not on the surface, but subterranean black gold, aka light crude.

The effect:
We, and the congress are left debating the strategy, implementation, and costs incurred by the US. Missing from the debate about the illegal and immoral invasion of Iraq is the suffering of the Iraqi victims, 1,000,000 dead, 4,000,000 refugees, 900,000 orphans in this latest installment. Where is the acknowledgment that the mightiest military force on earth cowardly attacked a defenseless, sovereign nation without provocation?
A war of aggression is the highest of international crimes. We have totally destroyed the civilian infrastructure of a nation and regaled at the spectacular “Shock and Awe” video show. We have used weapons of mass destruction indiscriminately in the “shake and bake” of Falluja and reveled in our high tech savagery. We have left a country polluted forever with hundreds of tons of radioactive DU238 munitions dust. All this and we are debating accomplishing the “Mission” and “Success in Iraq”?
We have not only lost the hearts and minds of the Iraqi people, but any moral standing we might have had in world opinion. We are seen as the rogue nation which is the greatest threat to world peace and security. Ashamedly, we have lost our collective soul and humanity.
All this talk of our brave servicemen serving our country with valor and honor is a symptom of the self-centered delusion that afflicts the US. They are victims as much as the Iraqis of the sociopaths that rule this nation. What is branded as our :National Security Interests” is just a power grab for the remaining oil reserves that unfortunately lie beneath Iraqi sands and in support of Israeli Zionism. We have been used and abused and are relegated the debating the merits of the current “serge”. We have been led down the road to the dark side, world of destruction and death, Cheney’s world. Welcome to the “New World Order”, will it be your world?
