Sometimes your ideas for stories come from real life and then there are pictures that trigger thoughts that inspire a story.  Such is this picture.

It would seem that things have gotten so bad in America that even the dogs are worried about their future.  What would this dog’s prayer to God be?  Let’s explore.

Even Dogs Know God exists!

“Dear heavenly father, maker and provider of all living creatures on earth, even those pesky flees on my back, hear my prayer.

Please do not let little Tommy’s dad lose his job so he can’t feed me and is so depressed by his family fighting or divorcing that he never plays with me or loves me anymore.  Tommy is my best friend and he is everything to me.

Father, while they think I don’t understand what humans say, you know I do and all I hear is about lies and beatings, some word called torture.  I have been beat before I was rescued by this wonderful family that loves me.  Please don’t let the humans beat each other, let them love one another like they love me.

Tommy’s dad is always crying when no one is around but me and he is very worried about being a good father and husband and providing for all of us.  He is a good man, Father help him with your blessings and stop his tears.

Tommy’s mom is also very worried about Tommy and her husband.  Father, give her the strength to hold all of us together as a family and not leave.

And most of all Father, while I know it is wrong, please give me the speed to catch those pesky squirrels that keep coming into my yard!  Amen.”

If even the dogs are worried about the future of America, should not you be?
