http://HAMMERNEWS.com I'm afraid Dems will just miss taking both houses by a seat. The Repubs lie and lie and the Dems are afraid to ever even use the word. If you don't call lies lies, the liars keep on lying. If the Dems had spent $3-5 million in these national ads, they would take both houses. These boy-girl ads slide right in to people's consciousness, and once the characters were established, 20 times cheaper radio ads could do short punchy pieces eroding the Republicans image to what they deserve- Lies, Corruption, and War. I know it's ridiculously late, but I wrote a tough Harry + Louise ad that goes after the most inexplicable source of the Repubs support- that they are good on national security. It's too long- about 1:30, but it might be injected into contests that Dems are down. The advantage is that it's generic and will work anywhere. http://hammernews.com/davelisaad.htm DEM COMMERCIAL: GOOD on NATIONAL SECURITY??? Setting: Attractive 40ish couple on couch watching TV of Bush. "The Democrats want to leave Iraq. We want to win in Iraq." DAVE: That's why they sent a third of the troops needed. LISA: And invaded a country that hadn't killed a single American in ten years. DAVE: And lied through their teeth- "uranium from Africa, mushroom clouds, WMD".. all baloney. LISA: A billion people hate our guts now- the world used to love Americans. That's sure making us safer. DAVE: And Cheney is running around promoting torture and canceling the Geneva Conventions. The foundations of human decency that protects our soldiers. LISA: What do you expect from a guy who gave $20 billion of no bid contracts to his own company? DAVE: Giving our troops contaminated water, running empty trucks through the desert, blowing them up when they get a flat- yeah, Halliburton's done a great job all right. LISA: On us. DAVE: Now Iraq will be a haven for terrorists, be tied to Iran, and have a nightmare civil war, and we're the little Dutch Boy with our finger in the dike. Forever! LISA: If the Republicans have their way. 2800 dead, 20,000 wounded, hundreds of thousands psychologically crippled- what a waste! DAVE: They let the insurgents loot 250,000 tons of munitions. Bush ignored the warnings about Bin Laden attacking America, he froze before schoolkids while terrorist planes homed in on Washington, he let Bin Laden get away in Tora Bora, and then pulled the Army from Afghanistan before the job was done to do this crazy invasion in the heart of Arabia. Video: Bush with Mission Accomplished banner LISA: Now North Korea has nukes and Iran is making them and Bush won't even talk to them. DAVE: And Republicans think they're good on national security????? LISA: Good for Osama. ------------------------------------------------------------- Narrator: "Corruption, Lies, War, Deficits, Spying, Secret Prisons, Torture, Fake Alerts" " Had enough of the Republicans ?" "TAKE BACK AMERICA: VOTE DEMOCRATIC"
