Iraq – the solution

Haditha incident; Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Peter Pace commented: "Clearly the individuals involved - if they are responsible for the things they are being accused of - have not performed their duty the way that 99.9% of their fellow marines have."

A careful study published in the British medical journal the Lancet in October 2004 suggested a figure of 100,000 or more civilian "excess deaths." Iraq Body Count, an organization which relies largely on Western media reports of civilian casualties for its count, now offers 38,000-42,000 as a conservative but confirmed range of noncombatant deaths..


There's about 130,000 American troops in Iraq. 0.1% is 130 soldiers.

According to Gen.Pace, that makes each “bad apple” responsible for roughly 300 civilian deaths each. Holy cow, these guys don't mess around. Jeffrey Dahmer, eat your heart out. But Army rations are decent so hunger can't be the motive.

So what's the problem? Arrest these 130 guys. Get rid of them, and leave the rest of the perfect 129,870 democracy-spreading candy-giving good guys alone and let them do their goddamn jobs!

Attorney-General Gonzalez; this is your mission. If you choose to accept it, the GOP can win in November.
