Wouldn't it be Great

Wouldn't it be great to beat the money?
Wouldn't it be great to beat $45,000,000.
Senator Hilary Rodham Clinton is running the most expensive senatorial campaign in the country. She has the most money of any senator in the country.
She got most of that money from big money corporations and big money people.
One of the biggest is Time-Warner, the company who regularly jacks up your cable fees. The venue for political debates in New York is their cable station, NY1. They won't let her opponent on for a debate. Their reason: he doesn't have enough money!
I don't see that as a specific conspiracy to protect Hillary. It's a general conspiracy a vast right wing conspiracy, if you like that phrase to keep anyone out of politics who does not jump over the big money bar when the big money people say jump.
Theoretically, we have the right to vote.
Theoretically, we can think for ourselves and vote for whomever we want to.
In reality, companies like Time-Warner make sure that we never exercise that right. That we never have the opportunity to think for ourselves and make our own choices. They know Hillary is their kind of people. She was a member of the board of directors at Wal-mart - corporate profits, cheap labor, no health care, no pensions, and a real commitment to out-sourcing, right out of America. So she gets Time-Warner's money and lots of money from banks and brokerages and Time-Warner gives her plenty of coverage, to make sure that she or someone just like her will be the senator from wherever.
All that being said, you can actually vote if you want to.
Clinton has an excellent opponent, as it happens, in the upcoming primary, September 12th. His name is Johnathan Tasini. You can check him and his positions out on his website, tasinifornewyork.org. He is not the recipient of loads and loads of corporate donations.
Wouldn't it be great to stand up against Time-Warner, Citi-bank, the insurance companies, Wal-Mart, Verizon and General Electric and say, hey, we can elect our own candidate, not the one you bought and paid for.
If we don't do that, of course, that's our way of saying, you big money guys should pick the people to rule the world, that's fine with us.
Wouldn't it be great to beat $45,000,000
