Dear friends:

All indications from the Web is that the sentiment about the Media excluding certain Candidates from the Presidential Debates is just plain wrong. The article I wrote went all over the web in only 12 hours, being posted to numerous blogs and radio stations’ websites et al. Comments from readers have chimed in that the attempts to steal the next election and to set American policy are obvious, and are unacceptable. This is a very good sign!

It was people like you who took the ball into your own hands and posted the concerns to the Web at a fast and furious rate: Thank you all! Change is in the air and with such proactivity, the Media is bound to learn a very important lesson: No longer will they be able to get away with buying public policy, selling us wars based on lies (if that isn't lawsuit material I don't know what is!), chosing our next president for us by eliminating Candidates from public debates, clamping down on free speech and eliminating the American power of electoral choice!

A blogger below on Newsvine provided a link from which one can contact the FCC and FEC.  Here is the blog with the link:

“I think that what happened to Kucinich, Gravel and even Hunter is pretty much an outrage. Corporate controlled media has no right to decide who the valid contenders are with ten months to go before the final elections. It is a network that is robbing Americans of our right to make an informed decision about who our leader should be. Any way you want to spin it, it's just wrong.

If you or anyone reading this would like to let the FCC and FEC know how you feel about this, myself and some concerned voters have created a form on our website that will make it easy to do so. Please visit www.everyonespeaks.com and let us know what you think of the place, or better yet, let the FCC know that what ABC has done is wrong.

Thanks!”

Blogger MargaineSwann on Digg makes a very important point:

“Why isn’t everybody jumping up and down about this? It isn’t a liberal or a conservative issue---it’s an AMERICAN issue. This strikes to the heart of our democracy. This level of corporate interference in an election is fascism. Wake up, people! Disney is telling you how to vote!”

Let's keep the ball rolling and help to change the face of the American media. Please feel free to continue to post this article below along with the important link above to blogs, websites, to e-mail them around and to ask for public proactivity.

Hello friends I have decided to take a break from political writing for a while and have disconnected my email address correlated with Opednews. If any of you send me a message to my Opednews box and I do not respond, I am not ignoring you: The message simply is not getting through to me because of my disconnected email at home. Thank you and best wishes, Kathryn Smith This quote summarizes the nature of my concerns and the content of personal experiences which stir my activism: "Necessity is the plea for every infringement on human freedom. It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves". --Paul Revere, House of Commons
