Pakistan: Our Grieving Friend in Tribal Areas Reports

By       (Page 1 of 2 pages)   No comments

Regular readers of Peace and Freedom know of our long relationship with Muhammad. Operating in the (now) Taliban area called the Tribal Areas, he has provided great insight and understanding to the west. A journalist, he has a keen eye for detail.

Death came to him last week.  The terror war reached out and took his close friend, Dr. Noor Hakim Khan, the victim of a Taliban bomb.

This is the sad and very sobering side of war and friendship among men.

Several of Muhammad's reports have also appeared on sites such as OpEdNews.com

We share his report because his intention from the start was to provide "eyes to the west" from the tribal Areas, Pakistan.

We ask readers to pray for his safety as he is in a very dangerous place.

His report is, as always, in the form of a letter to me.

John E. Carey

We at Peace and Freedom send our deepest condolences to the family of Dr. Noor Hakim Khan and our friend Muhhamd Khurshid. We consider them freedom fighters.

Dear John E. Carey;

I shall simply say that you are great. Your words about me and my friend are really encouraging. Now I have been thinking if I lost my life how I shall inform you.

Presently I have been feeling great threat as Taliban have increased activities in our areas.

I think my wife will not be in position to inform about my death as after my death she will finish her life. All my children are below 10 years so they are not in a position to establish contact with you.

Situtation in our areas is still uncertain and it is look like that some officials of Pakistani government have been trying to install Taliban government. According my information, some dreaded terrorists are busy in training the youth in Bajaur Agency for carrying out attacks on US forces in Afghanistan. There are reports they have also a list of US friends to be attacked.

I have already told some international dreaded terrorists have been hiding in the areas where my friend and relative was killed. They have stocked heavy weapons including latest bombs.

A person having some knowledge about the terrorist activities told me that the terrorists have been making the bombs while using the meterial easily available in the market.

Dear sir, I want to inform you in advance about my death at the hands of terrorists. After my death please write my obituary as you are the only person knowing me.
