The Right Thing

Tell A Friend

Clearly, there is much to be said for determination, and Senator Clinton is to be admired for her staying power.

There is no doubt, too, that Hillary Clinton will make a fine president, and a far superior one to the one we have at present, or anyone her opposing party has to offer.

That said, public service, by definition, means putting the needs of one's country above one's own, so if there is only a 15% chance that extending the primary season may contribute to a defeat in November, the right thing to do would be to walk away.

Courage doesn't mean standing on principle, but taking a principled stand.

The right thing is seldom the easiest, and often the least personally gratifying. But, if Senator Clinton means what she says about changing the direction of this country, and infusing the body politic with integrity, countering the damage to our national reputation of the past seven years, then she must lead by example, and show that, unlike our current commander-in-chief, she is listening not to her own voice, but to the voice of the American people.

I'm glad we're on the same team!

However, I like the fact that she refuses to be defeated. Look at McCain (or not) he was totally bullied and smeared by his own party in the most dispicable way. And now he's hugging and kissing those same bullies. It's a disgrace. We should put an ad campaign that shows just that. Hugging people that made fun of him for having a brown-skinned child. And now he hugs and eats cake with these people? so when a foreign government mows down students in the streets for protesting, what will McCain do? Send flowers? To that government. He's spineless, and Hilary is not. I want a president that is smart, savvy and understands the nuances and complexities in the world. I'm voting for Hilary or Obama. By extending this primary process, we have not ruined anything. We are raising more money than the GOP and delaying the idiotic attacks that are headed our way. This year will be interesting with the Supreme Court giving the go-ahead for special interest groups putting out their own vicious ads. It's going to be chaos! I want someone tough that can handle the Gop spin machine.

The media is saying that we're divided. It's an excellent tactic, trouble is, I think you might believe them. There's no fighting in bars, there's no billigerency in the work place regarding Obama v. Clinton. We want smart people in that house, no more GOP. Their solutions do not work, they make a few people rich, but they do not work. Free market, is not the answer to everything.  I love everyone who is not voting GOP. Comraderie, baby, comraderie.

Team Player

What historical proof do you have to back that statement? She voted for the war, which is in fact, unforgiveable. Not one of the current candidates can get us out now, which is why the GOP should be punished until the end of time. They have put us in a situation that will never be settled satisfactorily anytime in the forseeable future. We may get a majority of the troops out, one day, but we'll have a f@#&ing army base their until long after all of us are dead. We're screwed.

So, other than that, voting for the war, what has she done that proves she'll ruin the country?

more sexism

I find this type of thinking "dont let the woman ruin it for the man" very sexist. WHy should Hillary go hide under a rock? Almost half the population has voted for her and the race is still on.. what gives? Does she not have a right like the other male democrats before her to take it all the way? Kennedy did with almost a 800 del deficit in 1980. Why is the playing field different now? It seems like most sexist paradigms, that woman are not allowed to play the game. I hope to god she makes a point about the blantent DOUBLE standard of all this. If this is not sexism I dont know what is. For those that disagree, why dont you turn the tables for a second? What would happen if Barack was 150 del behind and they both needed supers to clinch teh nomination. For arguments sake, what would public opinion be if Supers began to more towards Clinton before the race was over if Obama was only slightly behind? Obama supporters would be up in arms calling it a racist fix. Equality means just that... EQUALITY.

Whos to blame for the War? Oh ya... the woman again.

I am quite sick of hearing Clinton be blamed for the war in Iraq. Excuse me, but there were MANY AMERICAN citizens beating the drum, calling for the same thing.

Maybe AMericans should have listened to the GLOBAL COMMUNITY (which they insist they are above) People around teh world PROTESTED BY THE MILLIONS against the Iraq war. They were not listened to. Besides, as much as Barack talks about ending the war, he says hell keep Blackwater and other mercenaries there. Not to mention he made many other votes for the war. Lets also not mention that Hillary Clinton was the senator where 9/11 hit and was in a far greater position of responsibilty than Barack. He voted against the war when his constituants wanted him to.
