Headlined on 2/24/08:
Arizona's Workhorse

Think about this...

The other confirmed lobbyist John McCain has been in bed with besides Rupert Murdoch----Rick Renzi!

Renzi, the congressman who, back in 2006, McCain called "Arizona's workhorse," and said has "integrity beyond reproach," was indicted yesterday on 36 federal corruption charges.

Waiting for the other shoe to drop? Wondering if the yellow brick road will lead to another lobbyist --- Jack Abramoff?

Right around the same time McCain enthusiastically endorsed Renzi, Abramoff pled guilty to three counts of fraud, tax evasion, and conspiracy to bribe public officials. Well, there are bribes and there are bribes---some bribes are delivered under the table, and others come in black silk camisoles.

Overall, from what we've seen, an elephant does a much better job of covering its tracks than anyone the Bush folks would endorse. Yet, there are those who say corruption, like beauty, is in the eyes of the beholder. That anyone claiming to go after special interests should be found to have some "special" interests of his own, and so easily, is alarming.

But, think about this. While I don't suggest making book on it, should Senator McCain be forced back to the bottom of the heap, who will lead the Republican ticket-----Mike Huckabee. And, a quick visit to Huckabee's Web site shows which faction, in the Republican Party, would benefit most from a MCain fall, and why.

The McCain Candidacy...

...is starting to remind me of the Admiral Stockdale candidacy.

He flip-flopped on tax cuts and torture, and seems not to even know anyone that isn't a lobbyist.

Combine that with a theory that the Iraq war was a good idea at the time, and that we should be there indefinitely, or forever, whichever comes first, plus a promise of more wars...and low taxes...

He appears to be a confused old man in way over his head.

I feel there is only one thing left to do - fight forces of ignorance and hate in any manner I am capable. If indeed this life prepares you for next, I want to go out shinning a light of love and to never harm another living thing in any way, outside of protecting innocents and myself from direct harm, I will not use violence, nor because of my life-style have violence perpetrated on others. Currently I'm a cartoonist and contributing writer for The New Orleans Levee. www.nolevee.com

Drunk Monkeys

It doesn't make a damn bit of difference which Republican candidate (outside of Ron Paul) gets the nod, you might as well have a drunk monkey (oh, wait, we already have one) as president. It's not the POTUS that runs things, he's simply following orders, and not from us, McCain, Huckabee you might as well have card-board cut-outs. It's the Bilderberg's, Trilateral Commission and people of that ilk who pick the next pick the next POTUS no matter if they're R or D and it is they that are served.

But what does it matter? Whomever get to be POTUS, this God-damn war will continue, our economy will crash, tyranny will rein and there isn't much We the People can or will do about it.
