FORGET THE TAPES!

THE CIA tape destruction is a red herring. The Press, to mix a few metaphors, took their eye off the ball, which was Bush's dissembling about the NIE report, like guard dogs being thrown red meat to neutralize them during a crime, and they went for it, hook line and sinker. Is the general in charge of the CIA actually as delighted as he seems that the scandalous destruction of tapes has become center stage?

Who leaked this information, anyway?

Does General Hayden have the big picture wit to manipulate events this way?

My guess is this reflects a "higher intelligence" if not some "intelligent design" that makes decisions above both the General's and the President's pay grade.

Meanwhile, think about it: the tapes probably never existed, and if they did, they are gone, gonzo.

Eye back on the ball: Did Bush Cheney lie about the NIE report and try to lead us to war? Another lie, another war? That is the issue.

FORGET THE TAPES!

The Bush Administration:

  Their only competence is deception!
