I believe in global warming. I believe we are either causing it, or at the very least, contributing to it. We are already witnessing the effects. Virtually anyone capable of logically processing the widely available and voluminous information on the subject also believes this. And this is the point: The people who do not believe it; They’re never going to be convinced of man’s role in global warming. They’re never going to be convinced because like the people who believe the earth is only 6,000 years old, and that Barney Rubble really lived with dinosaurs, these people do not want to be convinced. These people do not achieve reality for a reason Al. In fact, they’re almost always the same people. They “fail” because they and their “values” and beliefs are wholly incompatible with what sane people consider “reality”. They are simply not educable. So here’s the question: Are you?
Al: What in the hell are you doing. Why are you preaching at the choir, wasting your time attempting to either educate the already educated, or to educate people who refuse to be educated, when you could actually make a REAL difference by becoming President of the United States. Al, apart from yourself, you are failing us miserably. You are failing to commit yourself to the effort to secure your leadership of –arguably- the most powerful nation on this earth. If you can become President, you are one executive order and one signature away from actually turning the United States around not only on global warming, but probably precluding a temperature increases of 10 MILLION degrees. Call me crazy, but I find the prospect of my entire city being vaporized in a looming all-out war, a wee bit more troubling than sweating more and seeing more stranded/starving polar bears on CNN. And I like polar bears a lot Al.
Al, what the hell are you doing. I’m not going to see your movie. I’m not going to buy your book. I don’t need to, and neither do the other people who actually will watch your movie and buy your book. We already get it. Al, You’re making money, lots of money. And you’re a “red carpet celebrity” now. Good for you Al. But it’s not good for me, and it’s not good for America, the world, or even for polar bears. Not when you could actually wield the power to effect an immediate policy reversal by the United States and are playing fame games instead. In fact, I have to be honest with you Al: It’s starting to anger me.
Al, please tell me you don’t lack the common sense which should have told you yesterday to stop screwing around at film festivals and book signings. Get your ass into the race for the democratic nomination and then, take the Presidency. Then you can actually act save the world from what’s surely coming if this government’s mechanisms are not wrested from a Corporacratic one-party system hell bent on continuing it’s insane war in Iran. Slowing or stopping “Global warming” goes without saying Al. At least it should at this point.
Al: I know the job only pays a few hundred thousand a year. I know you’ll have to confront your political enemies head-on and that you’ll feel less “personally fulfilled”. Please forgive me for not really giving a crap about your personal fulfillment right now Al, but I really don’t. Come on Al: Man-up, get on the team, and step up to the plate NOW. Anything less than this and all your “work” is certain to be vanity.
We are in deep, profound, and immediate shit here Al. The “Democratic Party” immediately, and completely failed. We know that unless someone comes forward to fight, and to fight very, very hard for us now, it’s going to end in disaster under either party. Hillary is probably our next national nightmare if you don’t act. We are damned if she wins, and damned if she loses. I know it, you know it, and so does everyone with an ounce of understanding of the situation as it exists and confronts us.
I’m beginning to believe all this “effort” of yours isn’t about our future at all, but about yours Al. I hate concluding this. What are you doing Al. We don’t need to be educated. We already are. We get it. We got it five years ago. We need someone willing to step up and to take the power. Someone who can actually halt this American driven global descent into hell. This requires a President, not a “celebrity activist”. Enough fun and cameras Al. Please stop wasting our time, go to work, and do the heavy lifting to save the world.

Funny how everyone swarms around Al telling them the gloom awaiting, and although it may be true, he has no solutions to stop it. That's his problem. GW Global Warming Bush certainly will not shift gears, to make himself look like a idiot for his wrong decisions. Invading iraq does not stop global warming in fact it increases it. In order to pull Iraq out of the boiling bath they need to sell more and more Oil, which means heating up the world more and more. Is it really worth giving Iraqis Democracy or really a Republic if it means killing us and our friends to do it.
Not!
The real War is global warming and the end to the Oil supply. What happens when there is no more Oil? Oil is power is money is control! But they can not let go of it. They need to let go and start growing sugarcane on the Ocean for Ethanol. That is the only balance act they have.
I bet you didn't know that sugar prices are what really controls the price of Oil. If Oil goes too high more ethanol is produced. If Oil goes too low sugar prices drop and they don't like that either. It is an Oil and Sugar fight! But sugar will win in the end...because sugar grows endlessly. Oil once is used up it is smoked, gone forever into our lungs and air.
I have the answer and everyone shrieks , how impossible it is. I say its not impossible. Just as the trucking industry began in the US. People probably thought how impossible that was.
We need to make Aqrafts an acre in size and connect like a train. I call them Crusieshiptrains or OceanRiders.
We will stop Global Warming, clean the air, provide literally millions of jobs in the world, and jobs that benefit the earth. These people who control the reins of money will see it slip from their hands. They will die in their cobweb accounts, as the world will struggle and fight for the right and only solution.
Al Gore has no ambition to save the world, he rides the clock wasting his time with warnings and no solution for the people to follow. Yet myself not a dime in my pocket am screaming to the roof tops for you to listne to my words because if we don't act now when prices are at a time when we can do this, in the future if we have not done it, it will be more difficult.
I am the answer to this problem. Not Al Gore.

It doens't get any more grassroots than where I sit. Our Democratic Club is active in Central Pennsylvania, a region sometimes called Political Alabama North.
Our people are not enthusiastic about the way the Democratic Primary is shaping up. Most would go with Kucinich, if he only he had a chance.
If you got into the act, our group would pop to life, exerting the kind of influence that would sweep you in, Al. I know it's inconvenient to be a politician, but we are working hard and we are very exposed, and dammit, the American People need you. The global, military, economic, moral, and human disaster being visitied upon us can only be reversed by strong moral leadership.
And, Al, you're the choice.
